Question 2

Are these keycaps compatible with MX switches?

Accepted Answer

These keycaps are designed for use with MX switches, but compatibility can vary depending on your specific keyboard model. It's important to check the manufacturer’s listing or consult their support page for exact compatibility details before purchasing.

Question 3

How many colors come in this set of keycaps?

Accepted Answer

The set includes 10 different colored keycaps—black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, and pink. Each color is represented by two pieces, providing a vibrant and customizable look for your keyboard.

Question 4

Can I use these keycaps with my existing mechanical keyboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use these keycaps with most mechanical keyboards that have 1U-sized key switches. However, ensure that the keycap puller provided is compatible to avoid damaging your keys during installation. It's always a good idea to refer to your keyboard’s documentation for specific instructions.

Question 5

What material are these keycaps made of?

Accepted Answer

These keycaps are made from PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate), which is a durable and heat-resistant plastic that provides a smooth tactile feel. PBT keycaps are known for their longevity, making them a popular choice among keyboard enthusiasts.

Question 6

How do I install these keycaps?

Accepted Answer

Installing blank keycaps typically involves using the provided puller to pry off your old keys and then carefully placing the new ones in place. Ensure that you have a steady hand and follow any specific instructions from your keyboard manufacturer, as improper installation can lead to issues.

Question 7

Are there any care instructions for these keycaps?

Accepted Answer

To maintain the quality of your keycaps, avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water is recommended. Drying them thoroughly after washing will help prevent any warping or damage over time.

Question 8

How do these blank keycaps compare to pre-colored ones?

Accepted Answer

Blank keycaps offer more flexibility in customization compared to pre-colored ones, allowing you to choose your own color palette that matches your keyboard’s aesthetic or personal preferences. This can be particularly useful if you want a specific color scheme or design for your setup.

Question 9

How do these keycaps fit on my keyboard?

Accepted Answer

These 1U R4 profile keycaps are designed to fit standard 1U-sized switches, which are commonly used in many mechanical keyboards. The OEM profile ensures a snug fit and proper alignment with the switch underneath, providing a seamless integration into your keyboard setup.

Question 10

How do I choose between colored or blank keycaps?

Accepted Answer

Choosing between colored and blank keycaps depends on your personal preference and the overall look you want for your keyboard. Colored keycaps can add vibrant visual appeal, while blank ones offer more flexibility in customization. Consider factors like lighting effects, aesthetic preferences, and whether you plan to change the color scheme in the future when making your decision.
