Question 1

Are these keycaps compatible with Gateron, Kailh, and Cherry MX switches?

Accepted Answer

These keycaps are designed to fit with Gateron, Kailh, and Cherry MX switches. However, always check the specific switch height (height from top of the keycap to bottom of the stem) on your keyboard before purchasing, as it should match the keycap's 4mm or 5mm drop for a proper fit.

Question 2

Who are these keycaps suitable for?

Accepted Answer

These colorful and cute round keycaps are perfect for gamers, hobbyists, and anyone who wants to add a personal touch to their mechanical keyboard. They are especially appealing to kids and girls looking for a fun and vibrant set of keycaps that can brighten up their gaming experience.

Question 3

How do these keycaps compare to other PBT keycap sets?

Accepted Answer

Compared to other PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) keycap sets, these ILYCHEEGAMI keycaps offer a wider range of colors and designs. While they share the same durable material as other PBT keycaps, their unique MOA-Rainbow design provides a more personalized and eye-catching appearance.

Question 4

What comes in the box with this keycap set?

Accepted Answer

The ILYCHEEGAMI keycap set typically includes all 104 ANSI layout keys (including space bar), ensuring compatibility with most standard mechanical keyboards. Each keycap is individually packaged to maintain its quality during transit and storage.

Question 5

How do these keycaps fit into a typical keyboard setup?

Accepted Answer

These round keycaps will provide a slightly different feel compared to traditional flat keycaps due to their rounded edges. They may offer a smoother typing experience with less resistance, but users should ensure the drop (height) of the keycap matches their switch type for optimal performance.

Question 6

Can these keycaps be customized?

Accepted Answer

While these keycaps are sold as a pre-designed set, they can often be customized by reordering specific keys or mixing and matching with other keycaps. For more personalized customization options, consider looking into individual keycap sets that allow for swapping out specific keys.

Question 7

How easy is it to clean these keycaps?

Accepted Answer

These PBT keycaps are dishwasher safe, making them very easy to clean. Simply remove the keycaps from your keyboard and place them in a dishwashing machine with warm water and mild detergent. However, always unplug your keyboard before cleaning to avoid any electrical issues.

Question 8

Are these keycaps suitable for long-term use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, PBT keycaps are known for their durability and resistance to wear and tear. These ILYCHEEGAMI keycaps should last a long time with regular use, provided they are cleaned properly and not subjected to excessive force or impact.

Question 9

How do these keycaps affect the overall look of my keyboard?

Accepted Answer

The colorful and cute MOA-Rainbow design of these keycaps will significantly enhance the aesthetic appeal of your keyboard. They can transform a plain mechanical keyboard into a vibrant and personalized gaming device, making it stand out in any setup.

Question 10

Can I mix and match these keycaps with other sets?

Accepted Answer

While you can certainly mix and match these keycaps with other sets to create a unique layout, keep in mind that the drop height of 4mm or 5mm should be consistent across all your keycaps for proper alignment with your keyboard switches. Always check compatibility before mixing different sets.
