Question 1

Are these keycaps compatible with Gateron switches?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the keycap set is compatible with both Cherry MX and Gateron switches. However, it's important to note that this set is not suitable for low-profile axis switches due to its height profile.

Question 2

What does MOA Profile mean in terms of these keycaps?

Accepted Answer

The MOA Profile refers to the keycap’s rise from the keyboard surface. This specific profile provides a slightly raised feel, which can offer a comfortable typing experience and better tactile feedback for some users.

Question 3

How many keys are included in this set?

Accepted Answer

The Gradient Blue PBT Keycap Set includes 134 keys, covering most of the standard keyboard layout including the numpad. This extensive key count ensures that you have all necessary keys for a complete gaming or typing experience on your 60%, 75%, or 100% keyboard.

Question 4

Are these keycaps suitable for everyone?

Accepted Answer

These keycaps are designed with a specific height profile and color scheme, which may suit users who prefer a certain aesthetic and tactile feel. However, if you have low-profile switches like linear or tactile switches, the MOA Profile might be too high. It's recommended to try before buying if possible.

Question 5

What is 5-Side Dye-Sublimation technology?

Accepted Answer

The 5-Side Dye-Sublimation technology used in these keycaps ensures vibrant and long-lasting colors on all sides of the keycap except for the bottom. This process results in a high-quality, durable finish that resists fading or peeling over time.

Question 6

Can I use these keycaps with my existing keyboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use these keycaps with your existing 60%, 75%, or 100% keyboard if it is compatible with either Cherry MX or Gateron switches. However, ensure that the space bar size (6.25U) matches your keyboard’s requirements.

Question 7

Are these keycaps easy to clean?

Accepted Answer

While PBT keycaps are generally durable and resistant to wear, they can accumulate dust over time. Regular cleaning with a soft cloth or mild cleaner can help maintain their appearance. However, avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the dye-sublimated finish.

Question 8

How do these keycaps fit on my keyboard?

Accepted Answer

The 6.25U space bar size is designed to fit most standard keyboards. Ensure your keyboard has a compatible layout and switch type before purchasing. If you’re unsure about compatibility, check the manufacturer’s listing or consult online forums for similar setups.

Question 9

How do I care for these keycaps?

Accepted Answer

To maintain the quality of your keycaps, avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Regularly clean them with a soft cloth and mild cleaner if needed. Keep in mind that PBT keycaps are resistant to most liquids but should be handled carefully to prevent damage.

Question 10

Are these keycaps wireless?

Accepted Answer

These keycaps do not have any wireless capabilities as they are physical components for keyboards, which connect via USB or Bluetooth with your computer. The focus is on the aesthetic and functional aspects of the keycaps themselves, rather than connectivity methods.
