About the game
Black Paradox is a roguelite shoot 'em up that drops you into the cockpit of a time-jumping bounty hunter, hunting down the most wanted criminals of the universe across waves of bullet-soaked chaos. Built on the language of classic arcade shooters, layered with modern progression systems, and soaked in neon-drenched retrofuture.
Every run is different. Every upgrade matters. Every boss is somebody you don't want to meet twice.
The Reloaded Update. What changed
Fully redesigned visuals - Sprites, effects, UI: everything reworked from the ground up. The retrofuture aesthetic is finally where it always wanted to be.

BLACK PARADOX RELOADED
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the release of Black Paradox, we are excited to announce a remastered and enhanced version: Black Paradox Reloaded. Thanks to the valuable feedback from our community of players, we have worked hard to enrich the gaming experience graphically and in terms of gameplay. The game will feature two new game modes in addition to the classic story mode: Arcade and Boss Rush. You can also play local co-op with a friend, making the experience even more engaging. The official Steam release is scheduled for October, with console and mobile versions to follow later. Black Paradox blasts out of Early Access – here’s what’s in V2.0

During the 279 days the game has spent in EA, the fantastic team at Fantastico Studio has worked incredibly hard improving and polishing Black Paradox, adding 16 new power-ups, 13 new enemy waves, 11 new music tracks, 6 new power-up combos, two new weapons, and one new boss. On behalf of the Fantastico team, we’d like to thank everyone who has played the game so far. And we hope you’ll be excited to hear about a couple of new, significant features that have been added to the full version: Chip Storage and Darkness Mode. Chip Storage: Instead of only being able to carry the chips you have equipped to the Star Phoenix, this new storage option allows you to keep up to nine unused chips as well. https://i.imgur.com/MYARRtv.gif Darkness Mode: Beat the game to unlock this new boss-rush mode. It takes place in the alternate ‘dark’ dimension and you get to play as the ‘dark’ Black Paradox, rather than the ‘light’ version of the hero that features in the main game.
