About this game
Pitbound is a dark cyberpunk survival roguelite featuring a gritty, hand-drawn 2D art style. Craft your custom fully modular robotic gladiator and descend into a brutal underground fighting pit. Slaughter hordes of machines, cyborgs and aberrations. Forge game-breaking synergies and become the ultimate war machine.
Key Features
Modular character building: No pre-made classes. Build your own custom robot by snapping together body parts and weapons.
Endless arena survival: Face relentless 30-to-60 second waves in a brutal fighting pit. Every wave is a new test of your current build. Survive long enough to earn the resources you need — then push your machine even further.
Dynamic difficulty: There are no difficulty sliders. The Pit reads your gear and adjusts the intensity of each run accordingly. Get stronger, face stronger enemies.
Gritty hand-drawn 2D art: Experience the dark, industrial underworld with fully custom, hand-crafted visual assets.
Extract. Upgrade. Rebuild: Bring recovered equipment back from the Pit to unlock new components, weapons and permanent upgrades. Every extraction expands the ways you can build your machine.
WHAT WILL YOU BUILD?
The Giant — Wield gigantic weapons and clear the entire screen with a few devastating attacks.
The Grinder — Surround yourself with orbital weapons and shred everything in your path.
The Swordsman — Wield as many melee weapons as you can and carve your way through the horde.
The Gunslinger — Shoot fast, pierce enemies, and make your bullets bounce.
The ??? — Discover combinations we didn't even anticipate.

Update – V0.2.4
Hello! This is our biggest update since our arrival on Steam!Let's go straight to the juicy stuff...Equipment MergingNow you can merge equipment to get new cool items.Merging isn't just a rarity upgrade, you get a brand new item from your starting ingredients. The brand new item that you get from merging can't be bought in the shop... and it's often unique, in a way or in another. Each item can have more than one merging recipe and you'll see the recipe only if you have all the necessary ingredients. Experimenting can lead to some cool discoveries.Currently there are just a few merging recipes, but we plan on expanding them in future updates.New EnemyWe added a new explosive enemy...These small bots are fast and, once they die, they explode.
