  The Wolf Commando Demo is Back!

  To bring Wolf Commando to life, we are working with the amazingly talented folks at Fortell Games! Based across Kyiv (Ukraine) and California (US), they're the team behind immersive adventures such as Dreambreak, #KILLALLZOMBIES, and ENIGMO. We're thrilled that they are helping us bring our latest adventure to life. Today kicks off the weeklong Ukrainian Game Festival 2026 on Steam, and to celebrate, the Wolf Commando demo is back! Wolf Commando is an upcoming PC adventure developed by Nitro Games, in collaboration with our teammates at Fortell Games. Designed as a love letter to the run-and-gun adventures of our childhood, with a modern twist. Our goal is to build an adventure with exciting, fast-paced action, daring close calls, and a truckload of nostalgia wrapped up in one carefully balanced package.If you haven't played the demo before, please note that we're still in the early days of the project, and your feedback will truly make a difference.   Join Our Player.gg Steam Playtest

  If you missed our Steam Bullet Fest demo, you have another chance to get an exclusive look at what we've been working on! We've recently signed up with Player.gg, a platform that lets members try out upcoming games before they're released. We're still very early in the development process, so expect the game to change quite a bit as work continues. But now is the perfect time for your feedback to really impact what we do with the game. We are currently running a Steam playtest on there, with the first wave of codes landing in inboxes, and we would love for you to join us. All you have to do is head over to Player.gg, and sign up to join the waitlist. We'll be in touch soon! The current playtest will run until July 6th, so make sure to sign up early.   Dev Blog #2: Creating the Heroes

  Main characters are often the first thing a potential player sees when they check out a game. And most of the time, the adventure is seen through the eyes of the protagonist. They need to be suited to their world in a way that conveys just enough. You can have an everyday person thrown into a bizarre world, where you learn with them, such is the case with the Alan Wake or Bioshock series. On the other hand, you can also have a Master Chief-type character, trained exactly for the mission. How the character feels within the environment, what equipment they bring, what kind of clothes they wear in response to the climate, what expressions they carry going into the adventure, all of that needs to be nailed down so the player can infer what kind of game they're about to step into. And if you have several characters to choose from, all designed to be the best of the best, it's even more important to get it right. In Wolf Commando, we have four main player characters to choose from: Redhawk, Sonya, Stone, and Jackson We'll delve into each of them separately a little later, but when we first started exploring who our cast of characters could be, there were some key things we knew from the start. We knew we wanted them to be competent, each bringing their own set of skills, and each diligent. They would know what equipment and attire they would need for any condition. And, perhaps most importantly, they would be trusted to carry out the mission. Wolf Commando is an off-the-books response unit tackling the world's most dangerous criminal organisations, in this case, Black Canopy. While co-op is the goal and perhaps the best way to explore the adventure, they also needed to look the part if they went solo. Before we went in-depth into creating concept art for each character, we needed to explore the overall look.
