About this game
The Time After is set a few generations after global warming has destroyed civilization. A ruthless survivor tries to explain how we ended up here through the stories handed down to him and the remains of the time before.
Fight the locals and loot the ruins to keep the survivor and his wheels going as he drives south to escape the killing heat.
The game is a journey through a series of open world locations that help to explain how the time after came to be. Taking on the role of the grim survivor, the player will engage in third person shooting, driving and scavenging for supplies and ammo to continue their journey. The survivor shares his perspective on how things are and what went wrong in the time before.

Playtest will be live soon
The Time After Playtest will be live in the next few days. Hello there. I am the solo dev responsible for The Time After. It is a post-apocalyptic driving and shooting game about our world after global warming has done its thing. It is a pretty harsh world with a lot of killing, looting and swearing so it may not be for everyone. I worry for my kids future though, so it was the game I needed to make. It is still early days in development (I am a bit over 6 months in with at least a year to go) and I wanted to try and get community feedback as early as possible to try and improve the game before it gets too large.I have a playable alpha consisting of the first couple of open world areas that will give you about an hour of gameplay (depending on how much you want to explore). I intend to run it as an open playtest for everyone for an extended period (more than a few months). I would be grateful if you could give it a go and give me some feedback in the Community hub. Thanks.Read full article on Community Announcements (PixelAnvil)
