About this game

Lo-Fi Memory is a fast-paced, 3D action roguelite deckbuilder wrapped in a vibrant, Y2K-inspired metropolis. Bash through enemies with fluid melee combos, then slow time to deploy powerful abilities and summon companions from a shifting hand of cards. Explore large, handcrafted city zones where your navigation path changes with every run. Track down your targets to reclaim lost memories that playback like degraded lo-fi VHS footage.

Deck-Driven Hack N’ Slash

Tear up enemies by chaining melee combos then slow time to play card-fueled abilities, summon companions, and change the rules of the run.

Companion Powered Cards

Bring up to 2 unique companions into battle, blending their custom card sets with your own to theory-craft broken hybrid builds.

Rediscover Lost Memories on Tape

Inspired by retro-tech and console-era games, explore a deeply personal tale of reclaiming stolen memories. Piece together a fractured past through degraded camcorder footage to permanently expand your card collection and power up your build.

Endless Runs Through a Retro-Metropolis

Master the layout of a massive handcrafted city while hunting down shifting targets. Every run randomizes your navigation path; forcing you to discover hidden shortcuts, adapt to fresh card drafts, or opt into high-risk fights for ultimate rewards.

KEY FEATURES

  • Hack n’ Slash Action with Strategic Deckbuilding: Chain fluid melee combos then slow time with an active-time card combat system to devastate your enemies.

  • Companion Summoning and Hybrid Builds: Bring up to 2 unique companions into battle, blending their custom card sets with your own to theory-craft broken hybrid builds.

  • Infinite Routes: Master the city’s handcrafted layout while navigating a fresh journey of randomized paths, card drafts, events, and tough choices every run.

  • Roguelite Progression: Explore the massive city at your own pace with a checkpoint system that respects your time, all while permanently unlocking new cards to bring into the next run.

  • Hardcore Mode: Complete the campaign to unlock the ultimate test - a true, one-death gauntlet designed for hardcore roguelike purists.

  • A warped VHS-core world: Experience a unique fusion of Y2K tech, low-poly art, and lo-fi video aesthetic. Featuring a melancholic story presented in the style of degraded camcorder footage.

    Lo-Fi Memory is in Development!

Lo-Fi Memory in Development!Hello everyone!Thank you for checking out my game. Lo-Fi Memory started development early this year with the goal of creating a fun prototype to bring to GDC this year. After lots of positive feedback and planning, I decided to resume development in July and started sharing my progress on social networks. What phase of development is the game in?LFM is currently a prototype with an alpha build on the horizon. All of the videos and screenshots on the Store Page, at the time of announcement, are from very early dev builds.Who is working on the game?Right now I am a solo-dev, with over a decade of experience in the industry but I plan on bringing on a handful of people as soon as soon as I can. When can I play the game?My priority is to get a playable Alpha build out the door ASAP. Development is going well so expect to get a more formal announcement about the Alpha playtest sometime soon. In the meantime, wishlist the game or sign up for the newsletter here to know exactly when the Alpha playtest will drop.Where can I track development?Well besides staying engaged here, you can check out Work in Progress videos on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The Links are all on the Steam Page or visit this website. You can also join the Discord! How can I Support the Game?Wishlisting the game is the best way to support! You can stay up to date on development and help me make the game even better by wishlisting. Lots of indie publishers look at wishlist numbers before deciding whether or not to fund a game so every single one helps!Until next time,Eiden
