About this game

Tear up the streets in this 90s themed beat'em up motorcycle racing game. Kick and bash your way through a slew of roughneck bikers all trying to claim victory and the cash prize. Competition isn't the only danger, the local police will be hot on your tail.

Enjoy the great sense of speed as you wind down the many long roads of the American west coast. Watch out for the many vehicles, pedestrians and street obstacles that will just slow you down or send you flying! One too many hits on your rider or bike may end your race. Run out of money to repair your bike or bail out of jail and it's game over!

After the race is over, head back at your favourite bar to mingle with your fellow bikers to mingle or take on the next race. Having a hard claiming 1st place? Take your hard earned cash to the bike shop next door. Get rid of that junker and buy yourself a new bike to keep up with the pack or leave them in your dust.

Bash Moto features easy pick up and play controls, a stylistic 2D aesthetic and a unique race on rails feeling reminiscent of classic bike racing games from the past.

Dev Update - Split-Screen VS, Performance and more!

It's been a while since my last update! The very first in-person exhibition kicked off a few weeks ago giving the public a first chance to play the game and lots of good came of it.Split-screen VS: During my exhibition of Bash Moto many players expressed a desire for multi-player. I'm happy to announce local split-screen will be featured. It's still in development, but I have a majority of it working and I will post some videos on my social media in the coming week or so. For those wondering about online, there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that I have no networking experience so a traditional online mode won't happen. The good news, Steam permits you to share a local play session with a Friend, meaning it should be possible to play an split-screen online through Steam. I still need to test it, but I'm rather confident it will work.Stability: Bash Moto was subjected to a constant flow of players trying the game on a Steam Deck and Laptop for two days and not once did the game crash. A few new bugs were uncovered but a very good performance report card. Pick up and Play: A majority of players seemed comfortable with the racing on rails guided steering, reminiscent of Road Rash, however there were some that felt it was a bit too overpowering. To my amaze I had a good number of children ranging somewhere from 5-12 playing the game and handled the controls surprisingly well. In fact they were my repeat customers, so Bash Moto is very much accessible for both young and old.Performance PC: The game is optimized enough to run at 60FPS on a Nvidia GTX 670. It could probably run on an even older card but I have limited hardware to test with.Performance Steamdeck: Single player maintains a 60FPS at the native 1280 × 800. You can bump that up to 1920 x 1080 but you may encounter some slowdown in the menus and occasional stutter during race, so recommended to stick the the native 1280 x 800. Licensed Music: Much like road rash, the menus will feature licensed music ...

    Development Update - Caricature Art!

Caricature art is on the way! When we hear the word stylized within the indie scene we often think about Ghilbi, pixelated or a hand drawn look. Rarely do we see a grotesque, exaggerated, and darkly cartoonish style... and I'm here to embrace it!I've hired a very talented freelance caricature artist by the name of Luis Rojas to help me with these hand painted Bash Moto end screens. Artwork depicting riders getting busted, wrecking their bike, losing a race, winning and rider portraits. I've added one of these paintings to the screenshots section to give you a taste of what's to come. Thanks!FAQ page in the community tab for those wishing to know more details on the game.
