About this game

Nekome: Nazi Hunter is a single-player, third-person action combat game where you step into the role of Vano Nastasu, a young Romani man consumed by grief after the brutal murder of his family by Nazi soldiers. The game follows Vano’s transformation from hunted to hunter as he embarks on a violent personal odyssey of revenge across a war-torn world.

Nekome: Nazi Hunter approaches the Second World War from the personal perspective of Vano as he exacts revenge for the sadistic murders. You’ll scout enemy routes, plan your assault, and strike with precision in a mix of stealth and brutal up-close combat.

The game is inspired by grindhouse cinema and features visceral combat with grounded finishing moves, coming together in a symphony of violence where every encounter carries lasting consequences.

REVENGE IS PERSONAL

Each mission begins in the enemy’s backyard, where you’ll stalk Nazis, assassinate guards, and set traps to frighten your foes. Enemy awareness is shared and persistent—kill carelessly and patrols respond, wait too long and reinforcements arrive. Stealth isn’t about avoiding the fight. It’s about stacking the odds before the true combat begins.

STRATEGIC COMBAT

Every encounter is your chance to craft a savage masterpiece. Melee is raw, brutal, and bloody, built for life-or-death, close quarters fighting with each punch, stab, and parry making an impact. Use improvised weapons to gain the advantage over enemies who adapt to your fighting style, slow down combat to chain targeted strikes into cinematic assaults, and bring the violence to a finale with visceral finishing blows.

NOTORIETY AND FEAR

Notoriety and fear systems add another layer to combat, allowing you to make an example of your enemies and watch their morale collapse. Fear becomes a formidable weapon earned through surgical, savage tactics. Kill with precision or create chaos, and enemies may panic, hesitate, or flee. The notoriety system tracks your brutality and unpredictability, influencing the enemies’ next actions. Some Nazis may rush in blindly, while others refuse to enter the room.

THE WORLD IS YOUR WEAPON

Fight with fists, blades, guns, and whatever the environment provides. Nazi-occupied spaces are filled with pipes, tools, and hazards waiting to be used as improvised weapons. Choose your path, set your traps, and weaponize the world against your enemies.

Nekome: Nazi Hunter is about gleefully butchering fascists in Germany and America, but its devs swear it's not political

thing that often happens in this line of work is: a developer or PR person enthusiastically trying to convince you that a not-especially-interesting game is actually incredibly innovative and exciting. The Gamescom demo for Nekome: Nazi Hunter is the first time I have been in the reverse position: I thought the game was interesting, well-timed, and politically bold—the studio was keen to convince me it wasn't... Nekome Dev Log #2 - One target, many ways in.

Hello everyone and welcome to the second Dev Log for Nekome: Nazi Hunter! In Log #1 we introduced you to Vano Nastasu, a Romani survivor hunting the monsters responsible for murdering his family. From the trailers and gameplay we’ve released, you know that you’ll be cutting a bloody path through the game - but there are multiple ways to achieve your goals! In today’s Dev Log we’ll be checking them out.If you prefer your Dev Logs in video form, please check out the link below:As an indie studio, wishlists are incredibly important to us. The more we get, the more visible the game becomes and the more people discover it. So if you could head on over to the Steam page and click the wishlist button we would really appreciate it.One target, many ways in.In Nekome: Nazi Hunter we have designed a robust combat and stealth system that allows you to approach the game on your own terms. Do you want to sneak around and take down the Nazis one by one without making a sound? Or do you want to kick down the doors of the regime and dish out bloody vengeance face to face with your enemies? One of our biggest goals is that there is no correct answer. We give you the tools to do either, or combine them however you see fit. In some missions there is a clear route to victory, but in others we give you the freedom to forge your own path - you might find a quieter way around enemy patrols, take a more dangerous shortcut, or simply fight your way through if that's your preferred style.Let's take a closer look at the skills you’ll have to master to succeed in both playstyles, starting with the stealth mechanics.Building the Stealth Experience. For players who prefer a quieter (but no less violent) approach, we've added mechanics that encourage planning instead of rushing. You can crouch to remain hidden from enemies unless they look directly at you, making it easier to move through dangerous areas unnoticed. If an enemy is blocking your path, you can “throw” a whistle to distract them and cr...

The Hunt Begins - Nekome Dev Log #1

Hey everyone, If you caught the new trailer today, thank you for being here. We’ve got a lot more to share in the months ahead, and this is where we’ll be sharing it. For anyone discovering Nekome for the first time: Nekome: Nazi Hunter is a brutal third-person action game following Vano Nastasu, a Romani survivor hunting the people responsible for destroying his family. Stealth, close-quarters combat, and raw violence all play a role as Vano carves a path through enemy territory in search of revenge. Early 2027. PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. It feels good to finally say that out loud, and if you’re excited, then wishlist the game on Steam; for an independent studio, that support genuinely makes a difference. About the Trailer Today’s trailer gave you a glimpse into the world of Nekome - some of the enemies and targets standing in Vano’s way, a look at several of the locations you’ll fight through, and a taste of the brutal, close-quarters violence that defines the game. You also saw more of Vano himself. His voice. His anger. His hunt. Over the coming months, we’ll be diving deeper into all of it - combat, stealth, world design, characters, art direction, and the systems shaping the experience behind the scenes. Consider this the beginning.  And If You’re New Here... You can also check out our previous trailer for a closer look at the story behind Nekome, what drives Vano on his path of revenge, and the symphony of violence beginning to unfold around him. It’s a glimpse into the man beneath the blade - and the world that shaped him.  Join Us - and Stay Close Our Discord is where we’ll be spending the most time - sharing updates, answering questions, posting behind-the-scenes content, and talking directly with the community as development continues. If you want to follow the hunt more closely, come join us.  Join Our DiscordJoin FirstLook for exclusive development updates and more behind-the-scenes content. More soon. The Nekome Team
