Team up or strike out alone to hunt an eldritch Gloomfiend in a city crawling with horrors. Channel corruption and transform into a monstrous Grimspawn for devastating bursts of power. But beware. Madness is patient, and you look delicious. Survive the run. Take the prize. No one leaves unchanged.
Explore Nightholme, where you can team up or go solo to hunt an eldritch foe. Transform into a monstrous Grimspawn for powerful attacks, but beware the creeping madness that lurks around every corner.
About this game

Hunt. Transform. Escape.
Simple, you say? Adorable.
Enter a city consumed by supernatural decay. Summon a colossal Gloomfiend and claim its reward.
The streets crawl with lesser horrors, things that whisper, writhe, and remember your name. Only some of them are human.
Form alliances with fellow players… or don’t. Stay hidden and focus on the kill, pursue your personal appetites, or hunt your rivals to thin the field. We won’t judge. We’ve seen much worse.
Complete the ritual.
Earn your reward.
Try not to lose yourself along the way.
You Are Not the Apex Predator
But you can always pretend.
Nightholme is a multiplayer horror game built on tension, transformation, and decisions you’ll insist were necessary at the time. Choose your Grimrunner, study your prey, and drink the Nocturn serum to lock in the monstrous archetype lurking just beneath your skin.
Channel corruption to become a Grimspawn, trading stealth and restraint for a surge of exquisite violence. Shape your build through a flexible skill tree that alters how you move, fight, and survive. As inhuman as the things you hunt. Magnificent, isn’t it?
These forms are not cosmetic indulgences. Each archetype brings distinct abilities and synergies that reward timing, strategy, and a healthy appetite for risk.
So drink deep… but don’t get attached. Every transformation is a step toward insanity’s sweet embrace.
Strategic Multiplayer Horror
No one gives you orders, do they, darling?
Twelve Grimrunners enter every match, each driven by their own ambitions. Cooperation is optional. Sometimes efficient, more often delightfully ill-advised.
The city provides opportunities, not obligations. Hunt the Gloomfiend or complete other quests. Scavenge, stalk, or grind for power. Sabotage others and take what they earned. Indulge yourself. We encourage it.
Progression persists between runs, unlocking new rewards, upgrades, and strategies. Mastery is rewarded. Complacency is… addressed.
Optional High-Stakes Boss Hunts
Madness begins at the end.
As the run nears its end, the city offers one last temptation. Summon a unique Gloomfiend, larger and more grotesque than anything you’ve faced so far.
The Terror Seeds they drop are glorious. Some would say worth the risk. But nothing is mandatory here. A bloodsoaked battle with an eldritch monstrosity is completely optional. If you can resist.
A City That Watches Back
You were noticed the moment you arrived.
Explore a decaying urban sprawl dense with verticality, interiors, and forgotten paths. Slip through alleys. Track movement through walls. The city reacts to your presence, and it lives to see you squirm.
Horrors lurk around every corner. One second, you’re the hunter. The next, you’re prey. Pick the wrong fight at the wrong time, and you will be corrected. Thoroughly.
Abandon hope of conquering this place. The best you can do is appease it.
A Horrifying New World
Familiar shapes, distorted proportions.
Inspired by cosmic horror and dark folklore, Nightholme twists your precious tropes until they beg for mercy.
The world is lush and endlessly replayable. Leaving becomes a merely theoretical exercise. Stylized visuals lure you in, but secrets are what close the door behind you.
The deeper you descend, the stranger it gets. You do have an escape plan… don’t you?
So… Ready to Begin?
Marvelous.
Twelve Grimrunners enter a city.
Some leave with what they came for.
No one leaves the same.
Welcome home. We’ve been so eager to meet you.

Grimrunner Tales - Sentinel
We admit, we are rather fascinated by humankind. In all your tedium and mundanity, no two lives are ever quite the same. Perhaps you are destined for greatness. Perhaps cursed by mediocrity. Either way, you are inevitably tossed about by the hands of fate. And you are so very fun to watch.Jordan “Hawk” N’kosi is a particularly entertaining example. It makes sense, we suppose. You don’t become a Grimrunner by being ordinary. He isn’t the loudest among them, nor the most vicious. He doesn’t seem especially enamoured with glorious bloodshed, nor particularly seduced by the occult. It might be rather disappointing in other circumstances. Yet, somehow, he more than captures our interest.Perhaps it’s the watchful eyes, or the deadly precision of his strikes. Perhaps it’s his military acumen or the nauseating devotion to kindness beneath. Perhaps it’s simply that he’s quite a looker, isn’t he? Whatever the reason, do let us know when you meet him.Join the conversation on Discord:https://discord.com/invite/nightholme SentinelHawk doesn’t talk about it, but he always goes back after a run. Wherever we just cleared, a few days later, that’s where you’ll find him. I asked him why once. He said it was just his ritual.Obviously, I got curious. What’s he even doing, pocketing relics? Cleaning up scraps? Or maybe he’s just brooding at the horizon, but either way, I wanted to know. So I followed him one time. He was back in this rural settlement that got the crap kicked out of it during an attack. And you know what he was doing? Helping them rebuild their schoolhouse. He didn’t even seem surprised when I popped up. Just tossed me a hammer and told me to make myself useful.I watched him while we worked, because come on. Humanitarian efforts? No shot. Runners don’t do-good, we do-necessary.He’d pause every so often, look up, scan the field, then get right back to work. I tried to follow his eyes, but it was just miles of sunny grassland. I mean, we’d just cleared this area. Safe as co...Read full article on Community Announcements (PedroNightCradle)AnnouncementsOfficial
Grimrunner Tales - Human Rites
Every Grimrunner has their own reasons for walking into the dark. Some are simply here for coin. Vulgar, we know, but refreshingly honest. Others chase power, revenge, redemption, knowledge… Any number of darling little delusions, really. Such noble words to justify obsession. But that’s what makes it so charming, isn’t it? For every Grimrunner, there is a tale of woe. And no two lives are ruined in quite the same way.Take Marcus Wickham: once a preacher and pacifist. A man convinced—and do try not to laugh—that no soul lay beyond redemption. Then one little scuffle with the dark forced to revise his theology. Terribly inconvenient, isn’t it, when a monster rips apart what you love? Now forgiveness has been replaced by a truly industrious appetite for revenge. He insists he no longer puts stock in the old creeds, despite wearing their symbols so openly on his coat. After all, mercy becomes quite useless when one is ripping evil out by the root. It’s simply a pity he can’t quite convince himself of that.Join the conversation on Discord:https://discord.com/invite/nightholmeHuman RitesMarcus doesn’t believe in salvation anymore, but he still carries it in his pocket. A little black book from his preacher days, worn soft at the edges. Ask him about it, he’ll just say the past is dead. I think it’s more complicated than that.We were clearing out this old farmhouse once. A Wormkin colony had fixated on the family, and the mom was still barricaded in the nursery. I figured she’d been chased up there, left her kids to fend for themselves. Survival drive’s a bitch. We were trying to talk her out, but she was sobbing too hard to listen. And it was getting dark. The rest of the colony might come back to finish the job. So we started trying to break in.Except Marcus. He stood there, head tilted, listening to her. Then he went up to the door and whispered something.Sure as shit, five seconds later, it creaked open. The woman was bloodsoaked, huddled in the corner, wearing a ruined bat...Read full article on Community Announcements (PedroNightCradle)AnnouncementsOfficial
Grimrunner Tales - The Hayashi Case
Let us take a moment to appreciate the exquisite arrogance of the waking mind. All those sturdy little thoughts and sensible memories. All those charming little lies you tell yourself so your ego doesn’t wither. Adorable, really.Small wonder the Nameless have taken an interest. They come from beyond the outermost door, from that grand dark cradle where worlds are dreamt and devoured. Lesser offspring of much greater horrors, really, though that is rather like calling a shark lesser because it cannot swallow the ocean. The Nameless slip easily through the cracks in dimensions, breeding in the hollows between madness and reality. Their corruption twists once-familiar places into horrific realms where space folds in on itself and every angle becomes impossible. And do rest assured, your meager human perception will find it quite difficult to survive.Though they do not create worlds in the proper sense, the Nameless are lethal architects of the mind. Your nightmares are their brick and mortar, your senses their playground. They might roost for ages inside your skull, building vast kingdoms of imagined terror until your mind collapses beneath the weight. Or they might extend into your physical surroundings, until you cannot tell up from down or dream from waking. Yet make no mistake: the Nameless do not merely induce nightmares or toy with the senses. Rather, they twist the very fabric of the cosmos into insanity, until your mind cannot help but follow suit.Oh yes, and one last thing: merely thinking of them is enough to invite them in. Lovely little trick. We really should have led with it.Join the conversation on Discord:https://discord.com/invite/nightholmeThe Hayashi CasePeople ask me about Patchboy a lot. One of the greatest street alchemists in living history. He runs his own chain of rag houses—best product this side of the Atlantic. People expect some wise old vulture hunched over a tome. Instead, they get a barefoot twelve-year-old with a thousand-yard stare. He w...Read full article on Community Announcements (PedroNightCradle)AnnouncementsOfficial
Grimrunner Tales - Bitter Fruit
Let us make something quite clear: we positively adore witches. Any occult practitioner, really, regardless of tradition, lineage, or method, walks a path worthy of dignity. It is delightfully audacious when mortals attempt to harness the powers of the beyond. But those are human practitioners, my darling killers. Today, we are discussing something far less seemly. Make no mistake, Seers are not witches. They are not human at all, though they will try to convince you otherwise. From a distance, you might say they are a distortion of your kind, though one left far too long in the dark. Step closer, and you may notice the costume is their flesh. Spawn of a severed god, born from rot, root, and shadow, they wear humanity like a mask and feed upon suffering. Each “individual” Seer is merely part of a greater whole—a vast, conscious mass of Gloom that spreads beneath the soil like a black roots. Kill one, and its body merely liquifies into the ground to rejoin the rest. Charmingly economical, isn’t it? They hunt in every human population, sowing misery from the shadows. But the real trouble begins when their Gloom rises from beneath. When that happens, it means hiding is no longer necessary. They have thoroughly claimed their territory. So next time you meet a stranger, do watch for the signs. Eerily smooth movements and hungry smiles. A shadow that does not quite obey. And of course, those strange eyes, each one watching you twice. All the better to see you with, my dear.Join the conversation on Discord:https://discord.com/invite/nightholmeBitter Fruit When the old man said the mines were cursed, I nearly laughed. I rarely hear such things spoken with conviction these days. Curses went out with buckled shoes. I had misplaced my scarf within an hour of arriving, however. That small absurdity inclined me to hear him out.Nightmares, he told me, plagued the town. Men brought them home with the coal dust to fester in the cracks between floorboards. Every night, the village dr...Read full article on Community Announcements (PedroNightCradle)AnnouncementsOfficial
