About this game
Disclaimer: Demo is still in active development! We're pushing frequent updates and squashing bugs almost by the hour, so if you spot something weird, we're probably already on it.
SHROT is a no-bullshit FPS (boomer shooter) where you and your guns kill aliens, robots, and the degenerates, all for one damn good time!
No “woke” crap. No politics. No propaganda. No filter.
The goal? Simple. You get home from work, crack a beer, start the game, kill everything that moves, and relax.
The name SHROT stands for Shoot, Hit, Reload, Overkill, Terminate. The game cuts out most of the boring cutscenes, keeping you in nonstop combat and pure adrenaline flow.
RETRO SHOOTER. NO CENSORSHIP. JUST PURE ACTION.
You play as a truck driver with a “dad bod” who is Slavic by blood, American by paycheck.
He came to the States to drive trucks and drink beer... usually both at the same time.
Years of treating beer like hydration gave him a belly that enters rooms slightly before he does.
He finds benefit in that, as he says: “The best corn grows under the hill”.
He's not a hero. He's not special. Just another guy who woke up one day in a seriously F**** up situation and said: “Eh, could be worse.”

Fight more than 47 unique enemies (including bosses)
3 enemy types: aliens, robots, and humans experimented on by aliens, now “zombified,” or as he calls them, degenerates
9 upgradeable weapons with their own personality
Level editor
4-player co-op arena mode against endless enemy waves (yep, that's what the level editor is for)
Alcohol, swearing, farting, and tons of "inappropriate" stuff
A healing system where you can overheal… and end up drunk
Around 8 hours of main gameplay, and about 35 hours to max out everything and unlock all achievements

DEMO Optimization & Compression Update V0.1.3Thank you for your continued support!For the best experience, we recommend you uninstall and reinstall the game and crack a cold one!While you were relaxing on the beach (well-deserved, we hope), our developers continued to grind to bring you another optimization update!Average FPS is up by +20, and the overall experience should feel noticeably smoother. This should solve the issue for those remaining few players who reported that they were not able to play the game as it was intended to be played.Turns out one of the developers left a small chunk of his 'homework' folder within the build files. Once we got rid of that shit, the game went from original ~17GB to around 7GB!Performance has been a work in progress, but it is not our only focus. Now that we have worked out the most critical of optimization issues, we can focus on content. We are working on many more surprises that you will hear all about on our Facebook, Instagram, X, as well as TikTok and YouTube Shorts.We are still facing difficulties with the game booting up on the Steam Deck, but it's also something we intend to fix in August 2026.We continue to work hard to improve the DEMO. DEMO Optimization Update V0.1.2Thank you for your continued support!We apologize for being quiet, but let me tell you; the whole dev team has been grinding hard to make this game playable for all of you.We're back with another optimization update. This update specifically targets the scenes that have been giving your hardware a workout.Average FPS in some scenes jumped from 50 to 90+.We heard you, we tested it, we fixed it. Your GPU can finally relax for a second.While we are not where we would like to be just yet, this should ensure better performance across the board, even though you will still find some dips in the boss battle (something we intend to fix very very soon).
