About this game

This is a game made by a single person.

The mechanics are very experimental even though it looks like a generic soulslike.

///

You will be confused about everything, not sure what's going on and even think the game's broken - it's ok.

This is not industry standard in any way, so you will often feel confused and scared of pressing buttons or choosing options, until you've spent some time with the game.

Everything is coded on purpose.

///

If you're new to action/fighting games I'd recommend playing other hyper-active games before playing Nekurogahara.

You can't even read the name of the game without stuttering, so imagine what this game will do to your brain.

    Game Overhaul - 1st Steps

    Hi everybody, this is just to make you aware of the changes coming with the game's overhaul. The name of the game now more accurately represents the narrative, I realized about my mistake later on when thinking about it. The installation folder for the game has also been updated, so you might have 2 folders if you try to update or install the game. - the new folder uses the updated name.---- the executable name has not been changed yet to prevent breaking the "play" button on Steam, but will be updated with a new name once the overhaul update is public. The demo's name is not updated. To see what's coming in the overhaul you can follow me on X. Thanks and sorry for the trouble.

    Last update for a while

    Last update to fix a few nitpicks I had. If nothing else pops up then this might as well be the last update I do to the game; I want to move on to the next entry to continue the story. Thanks for supporting the game :) If you find any bugs/crashes please let me know on steam's discussions or on X.

    Fixing a crash

    I was able to track down a crash; it happened when ending impact cameras due to calling the function several times in a frame from multiple other functions as a failsafe. It should be fixed now. Also changed the "area center" notification from just text to an in game asset so it's not distracting or confusing during tutorials. Did some camera work too: now when near the edges of the areas the camera will do a cooler angle (but only if there's no enemies near and only for auto-adjust camera; keyboard/mouse don't use it) Also fixed a problem with blessings not showing the Ui image and name when granted after a duel, battlefield, and when spending blood drops to get blessings. /// To report bugs you can use the steam discussion tab, or tag me on twitter/x no problem. Thanks yall for playing the game :)

    A few bug fixes

    Had a crash related to impact cameras and criticals, but it should be alright now. Also fixed minor details as usual. /// To everyone playing, I know constant updates is annoying but I literally sit down to play and notice stuff could be better, I can't just do nothing about it. Thanks for hanging out to the game, really appreciate it :)

    Another Cosmetic Update

    Fixed some animation and impact camera problems that could rarely happen under unbelievable circumstances. /// Thanks everyone playing the game, means a lot. Remember you can report bugs on the discussions' thread.
