About this game

Golf like never before: Ballgame is the physics platformer that’s bonkers, chaotic, merciless, and rewarding. You don’t hit the ball, you are the ball. Play as Dolf, a newly sentient golf ball smashing, bouncing, and grinding your way through high-stakes tournaments then racing against the clock in heists. Discover who you are… where you are… and why you are in an interdimensional hotel for lost balls.

At its core, Ballgame is simple: get from the tee to the hole in as few shots as possible. But can you control the chaos? Try, die, and try again in a frenetic physics playground full of hazards and delights! Set across the hotel's curious locales, every handcrafted course tests your shot with precise platforming puzzles. Discover dozens and dozens of devious holes while you leap in bullet-time, float in bubbles, grind on rails, and die on spikes. Cause mayhem … or just play freaking golf!

Ballgame is rewarding and ruthless. Master every shot, ride curves, bend the bounce, shape the roll, and dominate every tournament. Each stroke is a chance to improve and score higher on the leaderboard. In tournament mode, every stroke counts. Can you make it under par? Can you find the cosmic path and make it under zero? Precision is everything; but, happy accidents make every course fun to master. Get good, hone your skills, and rise to the top.

Test your mastery in races against the clock when a shifty eyed magpie named Corvus challenges you to an all-out hustle against time. These are fiendish races where precision meets probability. You’ll throw everything you know about golf out the window. It’s a sprint across nine back-to-back holes where strokes don’t matter. Speed is the name of the game.

If you stay on the ball, you’ll earn glory and pennies… lots of pennies! Those pennies are valuable to the local bug proprietors and band: The Actual Beetles. Trade your pennies in to complete the Ballmanac. Ball so hard with customizations, upgrades, and over 99 balls to discover and collect.
Our team at Human Computer plans to launch Ballgame later in 2026. We have a ton of features and ideas for launch and beyond. However, we want to build Ballgame with you. Play our demo, join our Discord, and share ideas and thoughts with us. We read everything!

Day of the Devs Demo was a success!
It's been a wild ride for us at Human Computer. A little over a month ago, we submitted Ballgame for the Day of the Devs San Francisco Edition and just about a week ago, we demo'd the game at that very event. While we've been working on the game for some time, the deadline to host our first in-person demo was a hot one. We had around three weeks to polish and make Ballgame ready for folks to play. It was a fast-paced journey but it resulted in such a great way to announce and share our debut game with the world. Here are the highlights. People like Ballgame. Our demo ran well and we got such great feedback. Each person on our team also brought along a Steam Deck and at one point, we were running demos on our standard machine alongside four Steam Decks. The feedback was very positive and folks had great ideas for ball abilities, multiplayer modes, and even a few requests for a level editor. We're still very bullish (ballish?) on shipping this year, so we are taking some time to consider the feedback and what will fit into plans. It means the world to us that overall there was a positive reaction to what we've been making. Connecting with the dev community.Collectively, we'd never participated in Day of the Devs with a demo; but, as former attendees, it was so meaningful to show the game at this event. Not only did we get great feedback but we also became part of the DOTD community which means connecting and knowledge sharing with other devs. In particular, it was incredible to connect with folks working on games like Grindset T.V., Dosa Divas, Worming from Home, Over The Hill, Petal Runner, and so many other games! We made a trophy! And… nearly gave it away to our FIRST demo of the day (Smirky with 26!). But, we ended up with a dramatic finish (necessary for any ball game) with Tiago scoring 21 on the very last demo session of the day. We learned that people love trying to best their score and cheer on others with tips and tricks as they are playing. We'd call that a...Read full article on Community Announcements (sara_huco)AnnouncementsOfficial
A teaser trailer and in-person demo for Ballgame!
It's time! We can finally tell you about Ballgame, our chaotically rewarding physics platformer that’s inspired by golf. Here’s our teaser trailer:What we're making is anything but a golf game. It’s definitely golf-inspired but imagine taking a ton of different kinds of ball games like pinball or skeeball and smashing them together with golf. So, maybe nothing like a golf game? In Ballgame, you are the ball. More precisely, you are Dolf T. Landgreen (like dungeon + golf? Or Dolph Lundgren!) and you just became conscious (more on that later). As Dolf, you will play in tournaments where you need to get from the tee to the hole in as few strokes as possible. You'll fling through the air, ride across moss, speed through grass, and smash into walls while avoiding obstacles like spikes or weird bouncer dudes. Each hole has a par you can measure yourself up against. What's been rewarding for us is not only perfecting the leaderboard but beating ourselves, improving our shots with every replay. If you like to get good, you'll be in good company with Ballgame. We can’t wait to share more with you in the weeks and months ahead. It's been fun seeing people in play testing and in our trailer comments compare Ballgame to a few games we love like Desert Golf, Yoku’s Island Express, and Peggle. Both of those games are on a mastery-to-happy-accidents scale that we love. Do you love those kinds of games? Tell us in the comments which ones strike a fun balance for you. Play our Demo at Day of the Devs! That's all for now because we're going heads down to work on our demo! On March 8th, 2026 we'll be joining other developers in San Francisco, right before GDC for Day of the Devs. RSVP to attend here! It is free and open to the public. We're so honored to join Day of the Dev's awesome community and to celebrate video games. In the demo, you'll play a tournament and compete for a REAL prize. It's gonna be cool. If you can't make it, don't worry. We are planning to have a demo available f...Read full article on Community Announcements (sara_huco)
