About this game

What does a princess do when she find monsters running around all over her castle? Obviously she’s gotta summon her trusty mace and teach them a lesson about respecting personal space!

Post GDC Update
This past week I was attend the Game Developer's Conference as a volunteer. I unexpectedly got the chance to showcase Princess Paladin in the Indie Arcade! Big thanks to Black in Gaming to letting me exhibit, and for everyone who stopped by. I got a lot of great feedback, and the next few updates for the game will be focused on implementing some of that feedback. The following is a rough outline of what you should see in the next few version updates.A few more melee attacks to round of Nala's core kit (the abilities she will have regardless of which magic spells are equipped)GuardingA pass at better blending 2D characters with the 3D environments. (There will be more passes at this in the future)Hit reactions (both for attacking enemies and the player getting attacked)Making the player feel more responsive after taking an action (attacking, dashing, etc.)Read full article on Community Announcements (WolfRanger)AnnouncementsOfficial
Version 0.3
This update brings the addition of several types of rooms that will feature in the game.Explore. These rooms are built as platforming segments to add more variety to the gameplay. There will not be any enemies in Explore rooms, but there may be hazards to avoid.Restore. The safe havens will restore the player's health and mana to max. There will always be one Restore room per floor.Currently the player automatically restores to full health and mana after each room. I'm leaving this in for now until some additional abilities are added in. Those should be coming in 0.4.Save. After beating the boss of a floor, the player will get a chance to save their progress before proceeding on to the next floor. Save rooms also function as health/mana restoration points.Saving and loading functionality will be coming later, but the room has been added now to ensure that the player properly transitions between rooms as expected. In addition, the 2nd and 3rd floors have been added. Players now move on the next floor after leaving the Save room, with the demo build ending at the 3rd floor.Read full article on Community Announcements (WolfRanger)
