About this game
Lone Soul is a hack-and-slash roguelite combining fluid, combo-driven combat with strategic build customization. As Varus, a powerful and flamboyant conqueror, your mission takes you deep into the core of the mythical chaos tower.
Your efforts will determine whether you ignite a spark of hope for Revelia, a lone soul descending into darkness. With precise strikes, rune-based upgrades, and ever-changing challenges, each rescue attempt offers fresh opportunities and dangers.
Express Yourself in Combat
Combat rewards style and precision, allowing you to unleash devastating combos. Forge bonds with mighty Keepers of Order to reshape your skills and increase your gear rarity. Prophecies grant you powerful bonuses, but only if you're daring enough to face riskier challenges.
First victory is just the beginning
Reaching the tower’s core is only the start. Step through the Gate of Challenges to confront empowered forces and unveil the true ending. Each return presents fresh threats, evolving tactics, and a chance to surpass everything you thought was your limit.
Loot enemies to shape your builds
Defeated foes drop mystical runes that you slot into expansive skill trees, leveling up gear and unlocking powerful abilities. Manage your resources strategically and shape builds ranging from glass cannon to extremely tanky.
From Keeper to Conqueror
As Varus, formerly a patron of shadow, you undertake a risky quest to rescue Revelia, a previous conqueror imprisoned deep within the tower. Traverse three floors and become the last hope for her trapped soul slipping towards eternal darkness.
Floor Guardians Don't Play Fair
Each floor culminates in an intense boss battle against foes equipped with unique traits, demanding fresh tactics and adaptability. Beware, on the brink of defeat, Guardians summon deadly projections, further escalating stakes and your combat intensity.

Hello Conquerors,While we continue working hard to prepare everything for the October 20th release, we're also making constant improvements here and there. To give you a taste of the upcoming build, we've decided to update the demo once again. If you haven’t tried it yet, now is the perfect time. And remember, your progression carries over to the full game, so you can gear up in advance and have your character ready for the full tower excursion on release day. Here's what's new:Gamepad ImprovementsWe're continuing to enhance the gamepad experience, both in combat and especially in the UI. Various elements have been polished to feel smoother and more intuitive. For example, in the rune tree, the default path is now followed automatically, letting you apply upgrades within seconds.Improved AI and Enemy PositioningTo raise the intensity of combat, smaller units like healers will now try to flee from you. We’ve also added more randomized enemy spawns, including the ability for multiple enemies to spawn in the same location, making each encounter less predictable. And remember: all of this comes on top of the massive previous demo updates. If you haven’t played the demo in a while, there’s a good chance you won’t recognize the game anymore:If you want to catch up on everything, check out the changelog below:GameplayImproved gamepad auto-locking on enemiesImproved UI navigation on gamepadAdded new spawn points for enemiesImproved enemies AI for smaller units Added Polish and German translations...and tons of bug fixes, optimizations, and QoL changes compared to the previous demo. You can also expect some hotfixes in the coming days that will iron out any remaining issues. Lone Soul is coming on October 20th!
Hello Conquerors,Today we have exciting news for you. Lone Soul is almost ready to ship and will launch on Steam on Monday, October 20th! As a reminder, we're aiming for a full release on day one, no Early Access. You'll be able to explore three different biomes (so far we've only shown the first one, with more surprises coming soon), a Gate of Challenges with additional gameplay modifiers, and a full-fledged story featuring in-game cutscenes, full English voice-over, and a true ending. To celebrate the release date, we also have a new demo update to keep you engaged and hooked until the full version arrives. Let us know what you think! Here’s a quick summary of what’s new:Autolock on enemies One of the recurring feedback points was that some attacks lacked precision, and certain players didn’t feel fully in control of their combos. We’ve addressed this by adding an auto lock-on system for enemies, which you can still adjust as needed. Combos should feel sharper than ever now.Crystals reworked Through rune tree unlocks, you can gain the ability to spawn and attach crystals to enemies. When destroyed, these trigger powerful effects. We've reworked the system to better balance it with other upgrade paths, improved visibility and added the ability for crystals to move between enemies. Try it out and let us know what you think. And of course – tons of bug fixes, QoL changes and improvements! And remember: all of this comes on top of the massive 0.9 and 0.9.5 demo updates. If you haven’t played the demo in a while, there’s a good chance you won’t recognize the game anymore. If you want to catch up on everything, check out the changelog below:0.9.6 Demo - changelogGameplayAdded auto-lock on enemiesReworked crystalsEnemies starting point is more centered nowBalance improvements, including more elemental damage and more enemies HPAdded missining gamepad bindings on various UI elementsVisualsAdded white outline on auto-locked enemiesEnemies now move around in the chamber before...Read full article on Community Announcements (Robson)
