    Cloud Saves Feature Now Available

In order for me to enable cloud saves, I had to redo the save system in Rogue Tanks. This meant that every spot in the code where it unlocks something or saves any records or statics, I had to change part of the code. Hopefully I found everything when I was test playing earlier today. If you get an error anywhere or find some record is not being updated, PLEASE TELL ME! You can leave a comment on this post or start a new discussion and I will work on it as soon as possible. But again, I think I found everything already. That being said, I would like to let everyone know that this update did not take me the entire previous year to complete. Over the past year I have been working on a couple new projects and I hope to get them ready for their reveal soon and release later this year! I am excited to hear what you think of them. Until then, thanks for playing!

"Enemy Stripes" Update Notes for Mar 2, 2025

Hello all, I've put together another update for Rogue Tanks! I call this one, the "Enemy Stripes" Update. There is now a new toggle in the settings menu to turn on/off stripes on the enemy tanks. This was added so that it can become a lot easier to identify friend from foe. The stripes apply to the enemy tank body, turret, and bullets (including lob and missile type)! This is the most useful when playing with multiple friends and you forget what color tank they were. The stripes on the enemy bullets mean you can easily see if you need to dodge that incoming bullet or not. Unless friendly fire is on, then you should always dodge 😉 I left the enemy stripes as a toggle in the menu because I figure some people will like the look of the game without the stripes on the enemies, as they have been playing the game previously. The toggle is ON by default, so go into the settings and turn it off if you don't like it. 👍 Here are some other bug fixes included in this update: - Fixed a bug where player 2's stats would be covered by an extra window when playing with 4 players. - Improved gamepad compatibility and recognition - Improved coding to be easier to view (but you'll never know 😉) Hopefully there are no new bugs introduced with this update. I did have to create new bullet objects for the enemies to know when to display stripes or not. If there are any issues, please let me know. Thanks for reading! 😁

    Version 1.13 minor fixes

Fixed the cursor in the settings menu so it doesn't go below the bottom most item in the list. Fixed the Reward Points progress meter on the Campaign Records screen so it does not not go outside the box. I noticed these issues when I was doing my first ever 100% speedrun of the game, linked below. https://youtu.be/BPXXf-VDYQA?si=ZfLu6nVvjLQ17jtL

    Version 1.12 Graphics Settings

Patch Notes: Added V-sync option (was previously on by default) Added filter option: Sharp or Smooth (was previously smooth by default) Funny story, I was testing the game on my big TV instead of the usual PC monitor I work on. I noticed the game seemed to be running slow, so I tried to figure out why. I tried turning off v-sync in the editor and it fixed the problem! So I figured people must want this option! It took me a second to figure out the code for it, but adding it to the settings menu took no time at all. I also decided that allowing players to play with the crunchy pixels should be an option as well. When I was making the game, I didn't like the way things looked, even though I grew up with 90's pixel art games. I developed Rogue Tanks for a long time using the "smooth filter" (that's just what I'm calling it) and I got used to the way it looked. I totally forgot that it was even a setting I had chosen! So I went in and added that to the settings as well (also learning what the code for that is in the editor). Hopefully I've made the game a better experience for someone out there. 😁
