About this game
Survive. Adapt. Conquer.
Half Alive is a fast-paced, wave-based zombie survival game where every choice counts. Face off against the undead, whether you’re going solo or teaming up with friends. Upgrade your weapons, adapt your strategy, and push your limits to survive.
How Long Can You Last?
Start with nothing but a simple handgun and a small, confined space. Survive wave after wave of increasingly tougher zombies, earn money, and use it to unlock powerful weapons and expand your battlefield. But be warned—the longer you survive, the harder it gets.
Weapons, Upgrades & Perks
Unlock a variety of weapons and enhancements to keep the undead at bay. From pistols to assault rifles, customize your arsenal to fit your strategy. Use upgrade stations to boost your weapons and gain an edge with temporary power-ups and perks.
Multiplayer & Customization
In multiplayer, death isn’t permanent. Teammates can revive you within 30 seconds—keep fighting, or spectate until the next wave. Customize your experience with character and weapon skins as you progress.
Are You Ready to Face the Horde?
With evolving challenges, random wave types, and continuous updates, Half Alive offers an intense and dynamic survival experience. The undead aren’t waiting—lock and load.

NIGHTHAWK | New Tyro Interactive's game
Hey everyone,I want to share a quick update regarding this project. Development on this game has stopped as you all know, but I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who played it, supported it, and followed its journey. This game was an important step for me and helped shape everything I’m working on now. That said, I’m excited to announce that Tyro Interactive is actively developing a new game, a free-to-play FPS built with everything I’ve learned so far. The new project is now available to wishlist on Steam. If you enjoyed this game or want to support what I’m working on next, wishlisting the new title would help a lot with visibility and means a huge amount as an indie developer.Thank you all again for the support, I hope you’ll check out what’s coming next. ❤️Tyro Interactive NIGHTHAWK's Steam PageRead full article on Community Announcements (Ulysse)AnnouncementsOfficial
End of Development – Sales & Clarification
Hey everyone, I want to clarify a few things regarding Half Alive. While development has officially stopped, the game will remain available on Steam for those who still want to play. To thank you for your support, I’ve decided to keep the game at a discounted price for the next week. If you haven’t had a chance to try it yet, now is a great time. Additionally, I have a Game Design Document (GDD) for a related project on my computer. If and when I have the financial means to develop it, Half Alive may return in a different form, possibly under a new genre. For now, thank you all for being part of this journey—I truly appreciate your support. — Tyro InteractiveRead full article on Community Announcements (Ulysse)AnnouncementsOfficial
Half Alive Termination
🛑 Development Update on Half Alive 🛑 Hello Survivors, Today, I need to share a difficult decision with all of you. After almost three years of work and dedication, the development of Half Alive will be coming to an end. Despite my efforts and the recent update, I didn't achieve the success I had hoped for — or, to be completely transparent, any significant success at all. While immediate success isn't the main thing I am looking for, being guided by my passion for game development first, I cannot persist on updating the game and being at loss financially. This isn't a decision made lightly. I've taken the time to reflect on the future of my studio and where I want to go creatively. If I want to grow as a developer and offer you better, more ambitious experiences, I need to challenge myself beyond a low-poly COD Zombies-like formula. I believe that stepping into new territories and exploring more advanced projects is the path forward. I want to thank everyone who supported Half Alive, whether you played, shared feedback, or simply showed interest in the project. Your support has meant the world to me, and I'm genuinely sorry if this news is disappointing. As for the future, I don't have a concrete plan to share just yet, but I felt it was important to be honest and transparent with you. I'll be taking this time to learn, evolve, and hopefully bring something fresh and exciting your way in the near future. Half Alive may return, later, in a few years, under a more developed lore-oriented game, but I don't want to make any promises. Thank you for your understanding and support, it means a lot. — Tyro InteractiveRead full article on Community Announcements (Ulysse)Patch NotesOfficial
