About this game
Step into a world where the line between sanity and madness has been blurred by the malevolent force of BYLE. In BYLE, you are a mercenary on a mission to liberate the people from the clutches of this mind-controlling substance. Embark on a journey through the city consumed by chaos, as you battle hordes of twisted enemies, discover powerful weaponry and powerups, and take down the sinister BYLE.
Fight Against the Corruption: Take on the role of one of many unlockable characters, each with their own stats and armed with the sole purpose of saving the city from BYLE's malevolence. Every playthrough is different as levels are procedurally generated and powerups are random.
Multiple Game Modes: Choose your path to victory between the Save the City and Colosseum game modes. Save the City offers the traditional roguelike experience, traversing through procedural levels, collecting weapons and powerups, and taking on bosses. Colosseum offers wave-based combat where difficulty increases the longer you survive.
An Arsenal of Destruction: Equip yourself with an extensive selection of powerful and unique weapons. Experiment with melee combat, firearms, and experimental BYLE-fuelled technology as you find the perfect weapon to suit your needs in combatting the corruption.
Face Over 50 Unique Enemies: The city is brimming with enemies, once residents of the city but now corrupted and forced to fight in the name of BYLE. From mutated abominations to corrupted civilians, you will confront a diverse range of foes that will test your combat skills.
Confront Powerful Bosses: Test your mettle against formidable bosses that guard the heart of the BYLE's corruption. These colossal adversaries will push your skills to the limit, demanding flawless combat techniques in order to come out on top.

The Gun Update
Hello all BYLErs, we've got a brand new update with some new content that you'll love. 3 new guns for you to save the city with or prove your worth in the colosseum. Charmer Gun Send musical melodies and snakes at your enemy and poison them to slow them down. Or using the right click, cause them to perch, waiting for the right moment to strike. https://i.imgur.com/oI1oQ2E.png Plasma Gun Electrify your enemies with balls of super heated plasma. These flaming hot balls will pierce through your enemies, try to get a multi kill! https://i.imgur.com/RU4YOOc.png Ray Gun Last but certainly not least, the Ray Gun. Hello BYLErs, The team at ST. JARLE brings you excellent news. There is a BYLE update. God bless. This update brings not only NEW CONTENT but also Q.O.L. features too. ALL THE CHANGES WEAPONS SAWED-OFF SHOTGUN A shotgun that fires loads of projectiles in a larger spread than the regular shotgun. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44639084/f3a95194584aef4053cf96eae84079f4bb01975c.png DUALIES Dual pistols. It's like one pistol, but you have two of them. In each hand. No one could have seen this coming. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44639084/e726c98f651cbcbe9e4c9902dc1cd373e6c55677.png BOOMBURST A form of ranged shotgun. Fires a one large projectile. But after a certain distance that ball will explode into little pieces, as if you had fired the regular shotgun. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44639084/0ce5bd4a68c31edc18893f695c454169b4c12265.png POWERUPS FAMILIAR Picking up this one spawns a little BYLE baby that orbits you and attacks enemies. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44639084/1468811a7d82b41f42f64cd058312e36e2d184dc.png QUALITY OF LIFE / OTHER CHANGES KEY REBINDS You can now change the controls. Anyone who didn't like dodge roll being on space can rest easily now that they can properly dodge bullets. POWERUP TRACKER Any powerup you pickup is now tracked and can be viewed mid run. Hold tab and you can hover over it to get the specifics on what that powerup did. V-SYNC BYLE now syncs to V. Incredible. AUTO-RELOAD This change is my favourite. BUG FIXES Sniper will no longer shoot in the wrong direction. Jank with the flamethrower (both you and enemies) has been reduced. Fixed some walls that were rectangular in nature in levels 1 & 2. Enemy pathfinding in the colosseum has been improved. Other small things we didn't write down, but trust me bro, we fixed more.
