About the Game
FBC: Firebreak is a cooperative first-person shooter set within a mysterious federal agency under assault by otherworldly forces. As a years-long siege on the agency’s headquarters reaches a breakpoint, only Firebreak— the Bureau’s most versatile unit—has the gear and the guts to plunge into the building’s strangest crises, restore order, contain the chaos, and fight to reclaim control.

Dive into the Federal Bureau of Control’s (FBC) unpredictable and extradimensional headquarters during its darkest—and strangest—hours. As one of the FBC’s fearless first responders, you and your team are on call to confront everything from reality-warping anomalies to otherworldly monsters... no matter the odds. Will you contain the chaos or finally lose control?

Join forces with friends or strangers to tackle each crisis as a well-oiled crew. Survival in this three-player cooperative FPS hinges on quick thinking and seamless teamwork as you scramble to tame raging paranatural crises across a variety of unexpected locations. Improve your odds by utilizing the tools and skills that make you unique or improvising with whatever’s on hand to support your crew.

Before deploying, select your weapon and customize your Firebreaker’s Crisis Kit with specialized tools, grenades, support items, and paranatural augments... then modify them to suit your strategy and change the way you play. Experiment with different loadouts to perfect your playstyle and synergize with your team, giving you the edge to succeed in every crisis, no matter the difficulty.

Return to the strange and unexpected world of Control or venture in for the first time in this standalone, multiplayer experience. Discover the iconic and unfathomable headquarters of the FBC — the Oldest House — from an entirely new perspective as a team of volunteer first responders who'll stop at nothing to save what's left of the Bureau.

Control Spinoff FBC Firebreak Has Its Last Major Update
Set in the universe of its close cousin Control, FBC Firebreak is getting its last major content update and a permanently discounted price. The developers behind FBC Firebreak, Remedy Entertainment, have confirmed that after this update, the game will receive no other content. The good news is that FBC Firebreak won’t fall into the pit that so many other online games have fallen into, meaning that Remedy has given the game support so it can run for years to come, independently. “We want to make sure those moments can continue for the players who are already here, and for anyone else looking for a high-energy, low-pressure game night with friends.” Said Game Director Mike Kayatta in the official press release.“That’s why the relay servers are staying up, the price is going down, and a Friend’s Pass is going in. From all of us on the team, thank you for your own passion and experimentation, and we’ll see you in there.” The friends pass... Open House Major Update Now Available
Today, we are releasing Open House, a Major update for FBC: Firebreak. This update introduces new arenas inspired by locations from Control for the Endless Shift game mode, gameplay improvements, balance updates, Twitch Drops Armor Sets, and lastly, the new Friend’s Pass, which allows your friends to join your game sessions even if they haven’t bought FBC: Firebreak. Before we get into more details about that and the content of the update, we are also sharing an important status update about the future of FBC: Firebreak. Open House will be the last Major update for FBC: Firebreak. We won't be adding new playable content after this update.FBC: Firebreak will stay online and continue to be playable for years to come We have done engineering work to ensure we can sustain the upkeep of the relay servers when the player volume is lower. To ensure there are players to play with (this being a multiplayer game and all!), we are introducing the Friend’s Pass Anyone who has bought FBC: Firebreak can invite their friends to play with them, for free. All they have to do is download the Friends Pass version, which is the full game with some limitations (shown as “Free Trial” version on console storefronts), and they can matchmake with the bought version of the game, as long as the person who bought the game invites their friends to play. This works across platforms. We are permanently lowering the price of the game to: Base Game $19.99 / €19.99 / £16.74 Deluxe Edition $29.99 / €29.99 / £26.74 On Steam, the game is also 20% off until the end of March. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has played, supported, and shared feedback on FBC: Firebreak. As Remedy’s first online multiplayer game and our first self-published title, it has been quite the journey for the studio and a valuable learning experience for the teams involved. While Open House is the last major content update, the game will remain online and fully playable and get patches if those are required. We hope players c...Read full article on Community Announcements (MiikaRMD)Patch NotesOfficial
