About the Game

Chaos on Wheels: Casual singleplayer destruction car combat experience. Customize your cars, equip armor, buy weapons, unlock new gadgets, upgrade ammo, and fight other cars in a battle of total mayhem. Choose your driver and take the wheel of a heavily armored car. Drive yourself to victory by destroying any enemy that stands in your way. Avoid projectiles, traps, and hazards and bring chaos to anyone who opposes you. Complete achievements, upgrade cars, and make even more chaos.

  We're going to Gamescom in Cologne!

  Hi there! We're attending Gamescom this year as part of the Games Croatia booth. Come say hi. At Gamescom, we will be meeting potential partners and publishers interested in our journey to the 2.0 update and console porting. Since we're working part-time on the 2.0 update, we would love to make it full-time, and to do so, we decided to look for a potential partner or publisher. To make the development of the 2.0 update faster and potentially better, we must put all our time, effort, and focus into the development. We have high hopes for the event, and with a little bit of luck, we will speed up our journey to the 2.0 release and make some new, improved chaos in no time.   2.0 Update, Blood & Gore DLC, Console releases and more!

  Hello our fellow chaos makers! In this post, we’re bringing you news about many new developments around Chaos on Wheels. We know it was a bumpy road for Chaos on Wheels these past years, but 2026 will be the most action-packed year so far. We're pressing the pedal to the metal and shifting to 6th gear! Read more about 2.0 Update, Blood & Gore DLC, console releases, and the state of a new online multiplayer Chaos on Wheels game.2.0 UpdateTLDR: 2.0 update is coming this year, preview version will be available in May, we’re working in iterations and based on players’ feedback.Since the last optimization update in October last year, we are working on a new update and console porting. Little by little, we realized there is much room for improvement, and we decided it’s time for a complete overhaul of the game. So for several months already, we’ve been working on a 2.0 update. There have been many comments about the “roughness” of Chaos on Wheels, and they all are addressed in the 2.0 update.We don’t have an exact release date for the 2.0 update because of a simple reasons. We’re doing this together with you, our players, so we might include more changes than we initially set. Our plan is to release the first preview version of the 2.0 update on a separate Steam branch in May, let you test it, and then talk to you about the direction and feedback. Get back to the “drawing board” and improve based on your feedback. Through a few iterations, we believe we will be ready to release it to the main branch and create a Legacy branch for the current game version to preserve it.So what exactly is in the 2.0 update?   First optimization update - v1.1

  Hello chaos makers! Optimization. Such a big issue with so many modern games.🙄 Unfortunately, we aren't an exception with Chaos on Wheels. That's why in v.1.1. update we have worked hard on optimizing Chaos on Wheels to run better, more efficiently, and to run stable. ❗ This is the first update of many in the series of optimizations and quality-of-life updates. ❗We improved global lightning performance (it might cost some quality, but one issue at a time 😏), changed bullet projectiles, and focused on two particular maps; Valley and Desert. We feel those maps are the most popular, and we decided to start with them. In the next updates, we'll make sure to cover all other maps as well. Before, we had every and each bullet being a projectile with its own velocity, gravity, speed, ... All that computing with so many bullets in the scene wasn't optimized, so we reworked it to be linetraced like it's in most shooter games. It's much more performant and, honestly, I'd dare to say it even looks better. We'd love to hear your thoughts, do bullets now look better, worse, or is it the same for you? 🤔 Some of the other recent findings that we find extraordinarily interesting is the issue with the audio lag on the gun firing...
