Question 2

Question 3

What kind of antennas does this router have?

Accepted Answer

The ZTE G5B 2 features high-gain external antennas, which enhance the range and strength of your wireless network. These antennas are particularly beneficial for larger homes or areas with poor signal coverage, ensuring consistent performance throughout your space.

Question 4

Is there a difference between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands?

Accepted Answer

Yes, both bands offer different advantages. The 2.4GHz band provides better penetration through walls but has more devices competing for bandwidth. In contrast, the 5GHz band offers faster speeds and less interference but may have shorter range. You can switch between these bands as needed to optimize your gaming experience.

An Unlocked CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) means you can use this router with any internet service provider without being locked into a specific one. This flexibility allows you to choose the best ISP for your area and avoid long-term contracts.

How many external ports does it have, and what types are they?

Accepted Answer

The ZTE G5B 2 comes with two external Gigabit Ethernet ports. These ports support fast data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbps, ideal for connecting high-speed devices like gaming consoles or computers directly to the router.

Accepted Answer

WiFi 6 (also known as IEEE 802.11ax) represents the latest generation of Wi-Fi technology. It offers faster speeds, lower latency, and better efficiency in crowded networks. For gamers, this means smoother gameplay with fewer dropped frames and a more responsive connection.

Question 8

Can I upgrade or replace the antennas if needed?

Accepted Answer

While you can't physically swap out the included high-gain external antennas, ZTE does offer additional antenna options that can be purchased separately to further enhance your router's performance. Always check the manufacturer’s website for compatible upgrades.

Question 9

Does this router support 5G NR SA/NSA?

Accepted Answer
