Question 1

Is this product suitable for hiding power cords in a home office?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Delamu Electric Cable Trunking is designed to hide up to 2-3 power cords in a home office setting. It provides an organized and clean look by covering exposed cables, which can be especially useful in areas with multiple devices like computers, printers, and chargers.

Question 2

Can this product be used on any type of wall?

Accepted Answer

This self-adhesive wire trunking is compatible with most smooth surfaces such as drywall or painted walls. However, it’s important to ensure the surface is clean and free from dust before application to achieve a secure hold. For textured or uneven walls, you may need to use additional adhesive or consider alternative mounting methods.

Question 3

How does this compare to other cable management solutions?

Accepted Answer

Compared to other cable management solutions like plastic cable organizers or clips, Delamu Electric Cable Trunking offers a more seamless and aesthetically pleasing option. It adheres directly to the wall without requiring drilling or mounting hardware, making it easier to install and remove if needed.

Question 4

What is included in the box?

Accepted Answer

The package includes one piece of self-adhesive wire trunking measuring 10x400mm (width x length). Each unit can cover a section of up to 32 meters of cable, making it versatile for different lengths and needs. Additional pieces may be purchased if needed.

Question 5

How easy is it to install?

Accepted Answer

Installation is straightforward; simply peel off the backing and adhere the trunking to your wall. It’s recommended to start at one end and work your way along the cables to ensure a neat appearance. The self-adhesive nature makes it quick and simple, but patience is key for achieving an even application.

Question 6

Can this product be removed without damaging the wall?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Delamu Electric Cable Trunking can typically be removed from most surfaces without leaving residue or causing damage to the wall. However, if you plan to remove it frequently, consider the surface type and test a small area first to ensure no adverse effects.

Question 7

How long does the adhesive last?

Accepted Answer

The adhesive strength of self-adhesive wire trunking can vary depending on the environmental conditions and frequency of removal. Generally, it is designed to last for several months or even years, but repeated removal may weaken the bond over time. Regularly inspect the adhesive to ensure it remains effective.

Question 8

Is this product suitable for indoor use only?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Delamu Electric Cable Trunking is intended for indoor use and should not be exposed to outdoor elements such as rain or extreme temperatures. Indoor settings like home offices provide a controlled environment where the product performs best without risk of degradation from external factors.

Question 9

Can this product accommodate different cable diameters?

Accepted Answer

The Delamu Electric Cable Trunking is designed to fit standard power cords, typically with a diameter range that accommodates most common cables. While it may not be as accommodating for very thick or thin cables, it should handle typical household power cords effectively.

Question 10

How does this product help with cable organization?

Accepted Answer

This product helps in maintaining an organized workspace by concealing multiple power cords behind a single, clean line of trunking on the wall. It prevents clutter and reduces trip hazards, making your home office more professional and user-friendly. Regularly check and maintain the cables to ensure they stay neatly hidden within the trunking.
