The AJAZZ AK820 is designed to work with most standard ATX motherboards and can be connected via USB. Ensure your PC has a free USB port before purchasing.

Question 2

Who would benefit the most from this keyboard?

Accepted Answer

This 75% layout keyboard is ideal for gamers who prefer a more compact design, saving desk space while still offering all necessary gaming functions. It’s perfect for those with smaller desks or who want to reduce cable clutter.

Question 3

How does it compare to full-sized keyboards in terms of features?

Accepted Answer

While the AK820 lacks some keys found on full-sized keyboards like media controls and function keys, it compensates by offering a more streamlined layout. This makes it easier to navigate for gaming without unnecessary distractions.

Question 4

What comes included with the keyboard?

Accepted Answer

The package includes the keyboard itself, USB cable, hot-swap switch plate, and necessary hardware for installation. Additional switches are not included but can be purchased separately if you want to swap out your switches for different feel or color.

Question 5

How do I set up the hot-swappable switches?

Accepted Answer

Hot-swapping allows you to change the keyswitches without disassembling the keyboard. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully, which are typically included in the package. Ensure you have the correct tools and follow safety guidelines to avoid damaging your keyboard.

Question 6

Can I use this with a laptop?

Accepted Answer

The AK820 is primarily designed for desktop computers due to its USB connection requirement. However, if your laptop has an additional USB port or a USB hub, it might be compatible. Check the manufacturer’s listing for specific compatibility details.

Question 7

What kind of switches are included in this keyboard?

Accepted Answer

This keyboard features hot-swappable Red switches, which offer a tactile click and linear feel, suitable for fast-typing and gaming. You can swap these out with other types if you prefer a different tactile experience or want to change the color.

Question 8

How does the 75% layout affect my gaming experience?

Accepted Answer

The 75% layout removes non-essential keys like media controls, making it easier to navigate your keyboard without accidental key presses during intense gameplay. This can improve focus and reduce clutter on your desk.

Question 9

Is this keyboard suitable for long-term use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the hot-swappable Red switches are durable and offer a longer lifespan compared to non-hot-swappable options. However, regular maintenance like keeping the keys clean and avoiding excessive force will help prolong its life.

Question 10

How does it fit into a typical gaming setup?

Accepted Answer

The AK820’s compact design makes it easy to integrate into a smaller or cluttered workspace without sacrificing functionality. Its layout is optimized for gaming, with all essential keys present and arranged ergonomically for comfort during extended play sessions.
