Is this the right pick for you?
This ADMI X= XC27WQ monitor is a great choice for gamers who want a versatile and immersive setup. The 1440p resolution ensures crisp visuals, while the 165Hz refresh rate minimizes motion blur and lag, making it ideal for fast-paced games like first-person shooters or racing titles where every frame counts. The VA panel offers good contrast and viewing angles, though it might not be as sharp in terms of color accuracy compared to IPS panels. The FreeSync/G-Sync compatibility ensures smooth gameplay without screen tearing, which is crucial for maintaining a seamless experience. The built-in speakers provide decent audio quality, but they are not the best option if you need high-quality sound. For that, consider pairing it with an external sound system or headphones. Additionally, the monitor’s RGB lighting can be customized to match your gaming setup and enhance the overall aesthetic of your desk. However, this feature might be more appealing for those who prioritize style over functionality. When setting up, ensure you have a DP cable if using DisplayPort as the primary input; HDMI is also supported but may not offer the full 165Hz refresh rate. The monitor should fit well into most standard desks and stands, though you'll need to check its dimensions before purchasing. Regular cleaning with a soft cloth will keep it looking good, and avoiding direct sunlight can help preserve the screen quality over time.
Frequently asked questions
What resolution does this monitor support?
This monitor supports 1440p (also known as QHD or WQHD), which provides a high level of detail and sharpness for gaming. It's ideal for players who want to see more on-screen action without sacrificing clarity.
Is the monitor curved, and how does that affect my gameplay?

Can I use both HDMI and DisplayPort (DP) simultaneously?
This monitor supports both HDMI and DP inputs, but typically only one at a time. You can switch between them as needed, depending on your source device's output capabilities. Check the manufacturer’s listing for exact compatibility details.
