Control the flow of production from conveyor belts to airships in Factory Town, an innovative simulation where your choices shape the growth of your industrial empire.

About this game

Your goal is to build a thriving village in the wilderness, supplied with a wide selection of food, clothing, tools, books, and magical artifacts that you produce from raw materials.

Worker units can help you move goods between production buildings and markets, but as much workload as possible will need to be automated using mechanical transportation systems. Use a combination of gravity-powered chutes, conveyor belts, railroads, pipes, sorters and filters to route items around the map so they can be processed and sold.

As your earnings rise, you can research new technology to improve your supply chains and grow your civilization. There's no enemies or starvation to worry about, so you can enjoy a stress-free logistics challenge to maximize production and happiness.

- Play through eight built-in campaign maps with unique goals, or start your own customized/random map from scratch
- Build complex logical systems with gates, triggers, and filters to make sure resources get to the right destination
- Steam Workshop features let you customize rules & even create new items
- Unlock magical technology to boost your production buildings to absurd output rates
- Terrain sculpting tools to shape the world to suit your needs
- Creative/Sandbox mode let you build whatever kind of huge factory you want

Steepest Discount ever on Factory Town - and Factory Town 2 launch!

Because of a very exciting event this week, I have given Factory Town its biggest discount ever - it is currently 75% off. Factory Town Idle is also 75% off. You can get both of them together with an ADDITIONAL 15% discount in the Factory Town Bundle (link below). The reason for this big sale that Factory Town 2 is launching this Tuesday, July 14! It's a bigger, better version of Factory Town that I've spent the past several years working on. It's got everything you like about Factory Town but you also get catapults, zip lines, volumetric water flow, day/night cycle, weather, solar power, windmills, water wheels, better boats, better trains, underground 3D pipes, and much more realistic villagers that eat, sleep, have stats, and can make their own decisions, and use tools to improve their productivity. You even have a little character you can move around to harvest & deliver goods on your own.Note that it WILL be in the Factory Town Bundle - and you can always "Complete the Bundle" to claim the 15% bundle discount on Factory Town 2 as well, whether you already own the games or pick them all up at the same time.Cheers!Erik

Factory Town 2 Launch Date Announcement

Hello! I've been hard at work on Factory Town 2: Paradise. It is finally time to move it into Early Access and will be launching this July 14! It will also have a demo in the upcoming Steam Next Fest. So make sure you wishlist it if you want to be notified when it's available! If this is the first you're hearing about it, here are some key highlights about what is new & improved in the sequel:An avatar you can control, which means you can manually harvest items, deposit ingredients into production buildings, or move outputs around. You can even hop in a little boat and go for a ride in the ocean!Villagers are more autonomous. They perform jobs, have homes they use for sleeping, and visit markets to buy items they need. They do not become obsolete like in FT1 - your end game town will be full of townspeople going about their day.Villagers can equip items they purchase, which provides stat boosts. They'll also gain levels and get better at their jobs. There is a Day/Night cycle & dynamic weather, which affects wind & solar power generation as well as rain collection.Instead of awkward chunks, you can now summon entire new islands from the surrounding oceanShips are useful for moving items among harborsZip lines help villagers move around, and catapults can fling items a long distanceVolumetric rivers you can redirect, to get fresh water where you need itActual animals in the pastures, which require food and waterA real end-game goal, and a story to go along with itMaster items by producing them or feeding them to the volcano, which makes the items more valuablePipes can be built underground in full 3D spaceAutomatic transfer of items between buildingsTrains can be programmed with destinations, instead of just following track directionsCheck out the store page if you want to see the trailer or read more info!
