About this game

Ficterra is a sandbox crafting adventure with in-game modding that you can explore solo or with friends.

Ficterra starts you with minimal resources in a world filled with diverse biomes and possibilities. Acquire resources to build a limitless inventory of materials to use to make tools, buildings, and gadgets. Avoid monsters and other hazards while exploring and expanding your world. Each biome offers a variation of landscape and available materials, as well as dangers. Continue to make more sophisticated tools and gadgets. Share with other Ficterra players.

Features

Explore the World

Each world is a unique blend of biomes for you to discover. Find secret treasures and mysterious buildings as you search your expanding world. Seek out rare underground ores to supply your furnaces. Be sure to bring a light though, its dark down there. Be watchful on your journeys, as dangerous monsters have been known to roam Ficterra. They also seem to prefer hanging around loot chests...

Paint the Town

Don't limit your creativity to just cubes! Use ramps, columns and more to make your perfect creation. Then craft a paint brush and paint your buildings to fit your style.

Single or Multiplayer

Journey out alone or bring friends along with you. Multiplayer capability allows you to invite others to join your world to explore and expand it. You can even start a world in single player and use it in multiplayer later.

Build Gadgets

Build cool gadgets and gizmos like elevators, cannons, pullers, conveyors belts and explosives!

Modding For the Masses

Anyone can make their own mods for Ficterra! We included a built-in mod editor to create your own cubes, items, research and more. You can also take your modding to the next level by using the Unity game engine to include your own textures and 3D models in your mods.

    Spells and Enchanting!

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33854164/628415ec1d8a047962c2dc84bc933f1f2e752fdb.png Mystical Focus! You can now change and reroll your gear After researching Basic Combat you now unlock the crafting recipe for Mystical Focus, a object that lets you change your equipment At the Mystical Focus you can: Upgrade a Rare to an Epic item Upgrade an Epic to Mythic item Randomize the Spell on an item Randomize the Mythic Effect on an item Randomize which Stats appear on an item Randomize power of the Stats on an item Place your equipment and some magic essence in the Mystical Focus' inventory and choose one of the options Along with this we've added magical essences to the game You get magical essences by salvaging your gear The inventory's 'destroy item' changes to 'salvage item' when holding equipment. Salvaging destroys your item and gives you back magical essence based on the rarity of the item These essences are: Common Salvage - from Common items Rare Essence - from Rare items Epic Shadow - from Epic items Mythic Soul - from Mythic items When altering an item, if it fails for any reason (ie wrong rarity, no item, etc.), you get your item and/or essences back Make sure to pick up all equipment since every magical essence is useful. Common Salvage for instance is required to reroll an items power {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33854164/487d807cadd8d8a49e632406312f7c7d839b0dda.jpg Spells Rework We've reworked the spell system to make it more dynamic, and to allow more spells Elemental Power system has been deprecated and no longer rolls on gear Now rare and higher gear comes with a Spell affix This gives you the spell shown on the gear when you equip it Each spell has a specific slot on your combat bar: 1,2,3,4, left click, right click You can only have one spell for each slot. Equipping an item with a different spell for the same slot will use that new spell instead Spells are independent of the items rarity and level, although their damage still scales with your characters stats We have added...

New Spawn Area! We've replaced the spawn area with an updated more interesting area There is a now a tree, some stone and dirt to make the start of the game easier, especially in more hostile starting environments The new starting area also includes loot chest of each level, separated by the corresponding ore.
