{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/36335476/6c95c036fdf9643a8298761da3f618ce939df968.png It's been a couple of hectic weeks, but we're happy to be bringing some of the communities most requested features with this patch. Which sees the rosters and player (and their teams) stats getting fully updated to reflect the 2019 / 2020 season (though no doubt some of you will still be demanding that your favorites get a higher rating ːsteamhappyː). We've also got improvements to the online stability and a number of other changes, so read on for the full patch notes: Patch 1.5 Notes Highlights Updated rosters of following teams: France Italy Ireland Scotland Wales Changed the look of some players Updated the stats of all players and teams to reflect the current Rugby season Backup mechanism implemented for corrupted save files Gameplay Holding B to add 2 players into the ruck takes effect faster (0.25s, down from 0.6s) Sprinting when there is no stamina left is faster Tackle distance has been slightly reduced Players now have a "blind spot" behind them from which they cannot tackle User-controlled players in defense are now facing the opponents when running (whenever possible) Simplified the inputs for sidestepping. Patch 1.4

Hello Rugby fans! Patch 1.4 is now available to download on your Steam version of Rugby 20. Read the patch notes below for more details about its content. Ruck Lowered by 70% the influence of the first defender sent into the ruck. Illegal jackaling is punished faster by the referee. Jackling impact on the ruck has been slightly reduced. The AI is now more efficient during the ruck in Pro difficulty by sending players into the ruck faster. Players stamina has a greater influence on the ruck. Animations are more dynamic. Referee The referee is now more tolerant The knock-ons are better handled (ex: some small knock-ons that were imperceptible are not whistled anymore). When an AI-controlled player is offside, he'll be less prone to play the ball. AI now performs fewer high tackles. “Advantage lost” is no longer displayed when lost less than a second after the advantage was granted. Tap And Go is now available when “Hands in ruck“ is whistled. AI The difference between the AI of teams is more significant The players catch the ball more efficiently after a kick and on the ground AI uses more diverse and consistent play styles to respond to different situations (positions on the field, current score, current time, etc…) : Playing pick'n'go style to fixate defense. Playing wide towards wings to exploit a favorable player ratio. Kicking far in an empty space or towards touchline to escape pressure. Trying out grubbers/chip kicks towards teammates to gain meters. Set plays near opponent try line to create confusion and breakthrough possibilities. etc… AI teams are assigned one of the three following play styles and adapt their play accordingly: Possession (focused on short passes, pick'n'go and set plays) Occupation (tends to play more with kicks to gain terrain) Balanced (a blend of the two others) Kick When kicking during the open play the default direction is now in the direction of the attack. Solo mode A mid-season budget bonus has been added to increase your overall b...

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/36335476/528bc0c441e501f64fa8dbd6009bbb30f7d60b27.png Hello Everyone, With the release of Rugby 20, we've had a lot of feedback from our players about various aspects of the game. We've addressed some of these in our Next Steps post. We've got a number of things we're working on, since these may have a noticeable impact on the flow of game-play, we'd love your feedback and have opened a public test branch where you can try out these changes before we roll them out. You can find this branch by going to your Steam Library, right clicking Rugby 20, choosing the "properties" menu, going to the "betas", and under the "Select the beta" drop down, you choose the “public_test_arena”. After this your game will update and you'll be able to try out the new changes. You can find the test arena latest patch notes here, which covers Rucks, the AI, the referee and more. Rugby 20 - Next Steps

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/36335476/90a784e4ba525d27ce3360ded1e0e00ccc81f986.png Champions, We’ve been working for the last two years to hone the Rugby 20 experience, bringing your feedback onboard, and crafting something that replicates real Rugby. Something you can feel in every scrum, every tackle, and every clutch victory. Throughout the beta phases, we made numerous improvements, from AI to the feel of the gameplay. We’re confident you’ll feel that when playing this week. There are a few things we’d love your feedback about. For example, we made some changes to the pacing, so let us know what you think. Additionally, we have plans to further improve the game and publish patches in the following weeks. We want the AI to be sharper, to make choices more coherent for the situation, as well as ensure that the referees lighten up with yellow cards to improve the flow of the gameplay. We want to ensure Rugby 20 better reflects the current state of the 2020 season. So we'll be looking at international matches and adjusting the player and team data accordingly. For players eager to find new opponents, we want to improve the experience of the online multiplayer mode as well. There are lots of things we want to tweak and improve. So, if you have any feedback, we’d love to hear it. You can contact us via any of our official channels, and we’d be more than happy to help. See you on the pitch EKO / Bigben
