About this game
RE*SEQUENCED is a 3D open-world adventure game focused on story, exploration and combat. You play as Lux Hart, a college student who travels to her parents' rural home during summer break, only to find them missing. While investigating their disappearance, she uncovers their connection with the mysterious underground agency The Redaction Commission. Using alien tech acquired by the Commission, her DNA is edited and resequenced, arming her with extraordinary abilities.
Here are some of the mechanics and features of the game:
* Lux can fight with DNA mods, which are essentially superpowers that are grouped into four classes: Incinerate, Freeze, Shock and Invoke.
* She can also use guns. At present, there are eight gun types defined.
* Guns can be upgraded using weapon parts, which can be looted from fallen enemies, and found in crates placed throughout the game. Six weapon attributes can be upgraded, including damage, reload speed, range, etc.
* Lux gains skill points as she levels up. These can be spent to customise her abilities; e.g. permanently increase her overall health, reduce the cooldown time of her DNA mods, etc.
* Lux’s outfits (and hair) can be changed. There are over 800 different clothing and hair items in the game, so it's easy to customise Lux to a unique look.
* Collectibles are scattered across each level. There are almost 100 collectible items in the game, such as documents, audio files, etc. In addition, consumable items such as medkits and shield energy packs can be found near combat areas.
* Each level contains tasks (e.g. "remove propaganda posters") which can be used to earn XP. Lux can also earn XP by completing challenges (e.g. "kill 10 enemies with the sniper rifle").
* There are a huge variety of enemies. We won’t spoil the journey here, but once you get into the story, you’ll understand why there are so many different creatures from mythology, urban legends and horror that actually exist in the game.
* The game has 12 distinctly different environments, including a deserted nuclear testing facility, a derelict Chinese spacecraft, a post-apocalyptic town, a middle Eastern desert, underground caves, snowfields, and more.
All of the above features are already implemented and running in the game right now. We have a lot of ideas about what we’d like to add, but we’d love to get feedback from the gaming community!
RE*SEQUENCED is available now on Windows and Mac.

Build 20211223 is live
New Features Added 41 new hair and clothing items for Lux - almost 600Mb of new free content! This can be unlocked in the usual way: by smashing crates and collecting loot from dead enemies. Unlocked 11 Christmas items for Lux. These will be locked again early next month, so make sure you start up the game before then to add them permanently to Lux's inventory. Bug fixes The Lux browser was showing the wrong number of total items in each category (it was showing one more than the total). Fixed. Fixed an issue where the credits video wouldn’t play when selected from the start screen. Updated the Unity game engine to release 2020.3.25f1. Last time I updated Unity, a few people contacted me to say the game was displaying a black screen on startup. This turned out to be an issue affecting all Unity games played on some types of hardware. Unity says it's fixed now, but please do let me know if it's returned with this build. Other Stuff Select Unlock Goodies from the in-game menu and enter XMASTREE to grab up to 12 more free items for Lux. I'm working on a Crouch function for Lux. It's just experimental right now, but if you'd like to try it out, just press the C key when using the default key mapping. More on that later. And most importantly: enjoy the next few days as we say goodbye to 2021. Here's to a brighter and happier 2022 for everyone, everywhere. :)Read full article on Community Announcements (resequenced)AnnouncementsOfficial

Fixed. When arriving at the hotel, the supply crate could be seen for a moment before disappearing. Fixed. Unlock Code Select Unlock Goodies from the in-game menu and enter PUPPYDOG to grab up to 12 more items for Lux. Halloween loot unlocked!
Halloween Loot Event To celebrate Halloween, some of Lux's clothing items have been unlocked until early November. You can add them to her inventory by just starting up the game before then. The items are the Zombie Apocalypse skirt and top, the Skull top, the Skull 'n' Crossbones tank top, the SO top, the Disturbed dress and the X-ray tank. If you don't manage to start up the game before early November, don't worry - the items will still be in the game, but you'll have to unlock them yourself (e.g. by collecting loot from dead enemies). And also because it's Halloween season, next time you're in the underground metro station in New Shinjuku, look out for illuminated pumpkins. If Lux searches them, she'll find bonus clothing items, ammo, medkits and more. There are also some pumpkins at the Happy Stayz Hotel, so take a look there too. They'll disappear in early November, so get 'em while you can. The entrance to the underground metro in New Shinjuku is right near where you meet Cap'n Richerson. You can visit the Happy Stayz Hotel by using the Fast Travel Station near the Rosa Park spawn point. Improvements Ultra Wide Screen support can now be selected at two resolutions from the Options window. The resolutions are 3340 x 1440 and 2560 x 1080. Lux can now jump over ammo, med kits, shields and watermelons. This makes movement much easier (e.g. she can now just run over shields instead of having to go around them). Bug fixes It was possible to keep unlocking items by re-entering the Unlock Goodies code. Fixed. After visiting the Happy Stayz Hotel, the Continue menu item stopped working. Fixed. It was possible to take Lux outside the bounds of the map by climbing onto the roof of the building where she meets the first enemy soldier. Fixed. Lux could move outside of the map by climbing the tree in the courtyard. Fixed. Trees and grass were not being rendered here after the last update. Fixed. Colliders were not attached to the trees, so Lux could run through them. Fixed....Read full article on Community Announcements (resequenced)
