About this game
An isolated town.
Dozens of ensnared citizens.
Each with their own thoughts, each with their own reasons for ending up here.
But only one will listen.
Find her.
Katie, at it's core, is a game about understanding. About talking, dwelling, thinking. Walk around, speak to people, explore the town, uncover secrets (if that's your thing), and listen to Katie. Written during a time of immense personal transition, Katie is a casual yet vulnerable reflection on friendship, dealing with loss, and the pursuit of meaning in the midst of chaos. It's an expression of mind laid bare in a vicarious manner, and a narrative of a life on the verge of sanity.
Features
- A fully realized, living, 3D pixel-art town, cut off from the rest of society and ready for exploration.
- Dozens of handmade citizens, each with their own look and Idea that they're willing to express. Talk to them, ignore them, or let them be.
- A vulnerable narrative that unfolds over a week as you interact with the individual that gave this game it's namesake, and seek to understand what drives the heart of the town.
- Walk around, look around, be around.
- Secret, post-game content.
- Fully movable swings (to relive your elementary days).

Isles of Silence - Out Now!
After many long years of starting projects, toying with different mediums, and graduating university, it's finally time to actually see a project through to the end. I'm proud to announce: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32599312/e63ae6d4d13bffd4e676dbcf8c438dca2d169c6d.png Set on a series of islands in the middle of the ocean, Isles of Silence sees you managing an ever-growing group of survivors as they fight to secure a place for themselves in their ill-fated land. The entire planet has been shaken by an unprecedented calamity, and the very land itself is growing hostile to your presence. Uncover the past and preserve your future as you lead your group to a better life, being careful to not upset whatever forces seem intent on stopping you. With that being said, if you're reading this very specific news article, it means you came here from 'Katie' and enjoyed that game enough to check out this next one. 'Isles of Silence' is a very different game to 'Katie', being an incremental resource-management game instead of a walking-sim. However, while 'Katie' was my first project, I feel it still represents what I love most in games and what I want to make, and I look back on it fondly. 'Isles' will hopefully retain a lot of that narrative charm and mystery that was inherent to 'Katie', as every new feature comes with an NPC complete with a backstory and oodles of dialogue to both inform and add flavor, complementing an ever-evolving story as you progress through the game. 'Isles' seeks to continue the worldbuilding that Katie's secret ending touched on (for those that found it), but will mostly be entirely new territory that I'm incredibly excited to share with you all! I hope you guys check it out when it launches, and thank you so much for playing what I made! And, if any of this sounds interesting, a wishlist goes a long way in helping the game get seen :) Game link hereRead full article on Community AnnouncementsAnnouncementsOfficial

Katie's 1 Year Anniversary Update!
It's been one year since the launch of Katie! And my word, what a ride it has been! Thank you once again to everyone who played my game! Thanks for the reviews, the emails, the community works, thanks for it all! To celebrate the occasion, I've added a small little new content update for those who have the Gratitude Pack or Extra Cool Edition (due to it requiring the soundtrack files). Introducing Quiet Mode: If you've beaten the game and own the soundtrack, a new icon will appear on your menu! This icon will take you to the Saturday night scene, except with no dialogue. By default, the little red speaker will now be playing the soundtrack, but if you drag your own .ogg or .wav files into the new 'Custom Songs' folder, you can now chill out to your own personal playlist! I hope some of you find use for it, as it's been an idea I've been toying with for awhile, mainly as a sort of virtual de-stresser with no pressure involved. And yes, it works for VR! Things to note: The Custom Songs folder be found in the game's install directory after running it once Unfortunately, only .wav and .ogg are supported, due to limitations in the engine. If requested, there's possibility others could be added in the future. The Katie OST now contains a folder with all the songs in .ogg format :] https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32599312/8afb51373654b48148fccb9cec7fc9de860a484f.png As well as the new content, I've finally gotten around enhancing to the VR movement system and fixing some major bugs! (And hopefully not adding too many new ones) Fixes: The swing no longer changes your size *MAJOR FIX* (took me long enough) VR audio was flipped left to right so I flipped it back. I think it's right this time. There was a small weird white plane outside the school? Anyways, it's gone now. VR teleportation is now less of a toss-up on where you'll actually end up VR Improvements: You can now turn by pressing left and right on the thumb-pad of the left-hand! You...Read full article on Community Announcements (lonelyfrontierstudio)AnnouncementsOfficial

DISTANCE Update done! Katie is complete!
The Final Update is here! Or, at least, the final planned update. I teased this many months ago, and it's finally finished! The Distance update adds in some final secret post-game content. To begin the hunt for this chapter, simply finish the game! For those who have already beaten it, simply reaching the credits should allow you to begin the search. I'm quite happy with the weird little thing I made here, and hope you guys enjoy it! It's... a bit of a different tone, but one I wholly enjoyed making! Thank you so much to everyone who played my game! It means the world, and I hope to be able to bring new experiences to each of you going forward! https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32599312/7450d0ea59a0d6ea5dd6091924da5317639a45f4.jpgRead full article on Community Announcements (lonelyfrontierstudio)
