About this game

??? WHAT IS THIS GAME ???

Lethal Lawns is a Competitive Lawn Mowing BLOODSPORT, combining the relaxation of gardening outdoors with hyper gratuitous violence.
The perfect addition for entertaining parties or just to unwind, Lethal Lawns supports 2-8 player bounce-n-joust chaos between HUMANS and BOTS

4 GAME MODES, to mix things up a little

Mowing Payday
  • Mow grass for pocket money, and kill each other to steal cash.
King of the Lawn
  • Only the king can mow grass. Kill the king to become the king.
Last Mower Standing
  • Win rounds by being the last player still alive. When you're out of lives, your out of the round.
Bounty Hunter
  • Win rounds by killing opponents in a classic lawnmower joust to the death.

6 UNIQUE ARENAS, each with their own theme, layout and hazards.

Backyard
  • A simple, fenced backyard for uninterrupted carnage.
Frontlawn
  • 2 lawns divided by a busy street road. Watch out for the passing cars.
Pool Party
  • Swimming pools are great fun in the sun, but remember; lawn mowers don't float.
Cemetery
  • There's a lot of grass to mow, if you can see through the eerie fog.
Rooftop
  • Push your opponents off the edge to send them falling to their death.
Zen Garden
  • Relax. Clear your mind. Become one with nature. Now, mow...

CUSTOMIZE YOUR GAMES, with different mutators and game rules for a wild experience.

  • Mower damage
  • Exploding mowers
  • Steal amount per kill
  • Limited lives
  • ...and more

We're hoping to be able to add more cool stuff like more customisations, features, game modes and arenas.

v1.2.01 Update - Teams and Christmas

Happy Holidays mowers!! We've launched the v1.2.01 update, which adds the ability to set up a game as a team match! https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32347979/206946baeca313edc4ee8fbd0e01a8af40f10fc3.gif It's still experimental, but we wanted to get it out there in time for the christmas and new year break. We'd love to hear any feedback on the teams update, as it helps us improve the game moving forward. Speaking of christmas, you might notice the characters, like during Halloween, are a little bit festive. For the next few weeks, you'll be able to play as a Santa, Elf or Snowman. Enjoy the update!!

v1.1.01 - HUGE Online Multiplayer & New Arena Update

Lethal Lawns v1.1.01 is live, and it's a doozy!!! Update v1.1.01 adds Online Multiplayer. Now you can host and join matches using all the standard Steam Friends List matchmaking features. https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32347979/8e1968a12f5740e3fc8d726f68ae915bc3afb18e.gif To celebrate Halloween, the new spooky dooky Cemetery Arena is also live. Cemetery is a large Arena compared to the others, meaning there's plenty of grass to be mowed... but beware of the thick fog, or you'll lose track of where the thick grass is and become an easy target. For the duration of Halloween, all the player Characters are Pumpkin Heads or Witches. https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32347979/c3485b17fab3c1069b4d53eb2162838971617ead.gif As always, there's some other quality of life changes in there too. We are working on some graphics and networking optimisation, as well as a clearer way to show scores and who's in the lead (so you know who to kill easier) Lastly, please let us know of any bugs and issues over on the forums, especially with the Online Multiplayer. Random matches probably wont be easy to find while the game's concurrent users are low, so we advise you play with your Steam Friends (which is a lot funner than random games anyway). Cheers dimeStudios

HUGE Online Multiplayer Update is just around the corner

So we've had a great weekend at PAX Australia 2018. It's been such a blast, and if we met you in person at the booth we want to say thank you, it's a privilege for us to see the fun and excitement you have playing things we made... it's surreal. Really, thank you.. I wanted to quickly post this here, for everyone we've met in person and for everyone that we didn't, to explain exactly what the upcoming situation with online multiplayer is. Online Multiplayer is ready to go. It's sitting in a steam beta branch if you want to _try_ it out, and actually if you can and you find any bugs or issues we've missed we'd love to hear about it. That said, it will remain in a beta branch for a few more days, while we wrap up PAX Australia, take a day or two to recover, and prepare all of our press and media stuff about the upcoming update. Ideally we want it out by Halloween, so we can let you play on the massive new map, Cemetery. So we ask for your patience for just a little longer. And thanks for playing Lethal Lawns, and we hope you enjoy the shit out of it Dan

    v1.0.26 Patch + Dev Update

Hi all, Dan here We're writing this quickly to assure you that we are still active with Lawns, even though we haven't posted any announcements for a while. In short, we pushed up an update last week for v1.0.26 that included: 3D Menus New options for Custom Game Content Control options to hide the blood, or change it to look like colored paint (our personal favorite now, and the default setting) Dropping Coin Pickup's in Mowing Payday and King of the Lawn, instead of straight up stealing money. It changes the way these modes play out in a positive way Visual improvements Tweaks to the colors used for Players Fixed various issues across all Game Modes, and some changes that should reduce the amount of wild physics freak outs that sometimes occur That's what's up recently. In other news, we've got some cool stuff coming soon that, if you're inquisitive enough with steam's beta branches, you can find out about. But as with any multiplayer game, everything is a lot easier (and more fun) with friends. We'll have more concrete info soon we can share, but for now just know we're still here, still improving Lawns, and still keen for feedback Thanks
