Sound cutting out issue
Oops! We found an issue when using SteamVR where sound does not play in the headset. This issue is caused by the game window losing focus when SteamVR loads up. We're working on a patch but the work around is to make sure to click back on the mirrored game screen on your PC to restore sound to the game in headset. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for playing!Read full article on Community Announcements (flightschooldev)AnnouncementsOfficial
Island Time VR Weekly Challenges!
Our Island Time Weekly Challenges are well under way! We challenge you to join in the fun and do more than simply not die in Island Time VR! You’ve perfected the art of smashing coconuts and making useless objects; so, let’s try something a bit harder. We’re issuing weekly survival challenges to make your time on the tiny virtual island a little more fun. Challenges begin April 12, 2018! April 12 - 16, 2018 Collect the most uncooked fish. April 19 - 23, 2018 Assemble the most spears. April 26 - 30, 2018 Survive the longest. May 3 - 7, 2018 Collect the most skulls. Here’s how to enter: Step 1: Buy and play Island Time VR on PlayStation VR, Oculus, HTC Vive or Steam VR (an essential first step). Step 2: Die. Step 3: Complete the challenge, if you can. Step 4: Take a single screenshot of your challenge entry (i.e., all of your uncooked fish) and post it publicly on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook using #IslandTimeVR. Step 5: Die (again, maybe, depends on how well you are playing). The top winner each week will receive a special, limited edition Carl The Crab enamel pin, Flight School shirt and, heck, we’ll throw in a signed print featuring artwork from our Emmy® nominated VR experience, Manifest 99. Entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 on the last day of the week’s challenge to qualify. Winners will be announced the following day. What are you waiting for? Grab some coconuts, a boombox and get to SURVIVIN’! https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32155915/0bb22ac57ce109576ea94f08019b954149afee30.pngRead full article on Community Announcements (flightschooldev)AnnouncementsOfficial
Island Time VR Launches April 3!
Set sail for the adventure of a lifetime: Island Time VR launches on April 3rd for Oculus, Vive, PlayStation VR and Steam VR! It’ll be the best $14.99 you’ve ever spent. https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/32155915/a554eabf5c5a8ec0b84193468b280c59790a51b6.jpg The idea for Island Time VR came from one of our team members during some downtime. Who hasn’t wondered if they could survive on a remote island? Surely you’ve spent entire weekends pondering, “what’s the one thing I’d take with me if I was stranded on an island?” In that spirit, our team began thinking of what would make a VR survival game fun. The guy who had the idea, Alessandro Kitchener, quickly prototyped the concept with the team in a day. We found a lot of potential in the concept from that first play session. We loved that a tiny island could give the player a natural bounds for VR gameplay. Between spearing fish, collecting resources and dealing with fire, there’s a lot of physical movement for VR players. We are BEYOND happy to have collaborated with Greg Miller from Kinda Funny for the voice of Carl the Crab, your only companion on the Island. Greg really brought Carl to life with a hilarious and earnest voice – somewhere between Kimmy Schmidt and Nathan Fillion – which you can get a taste of in our new trailer. https://youtu.be/vldxHJUo3Wk So, we’ll be looking forward to seeing you survive and die (again and again) on April 3rd. Just watch out for Steven Seagull. That guy is a real jerk!
