In After Life VR, you awaken to puzzles and enigmas as you explore a surreal afterlife. Navigate through a coffin-filled room, piecing together your past while pondering the mysteries of existence in this unique indie experience.
About this game
This game is a virtual reality experiment, about puzzles and ancient tombs, involving:
- Contraptions
- Traps
- Treasures
- Mysticism
With your purchase you gain access to a room escape game with 2 rooms featuring 7 puzzles with a total of 42 keys. This is not a horror or suspense experience; there are no jump scare or time-is-running-out mechanics. Take all the time you need to solve the puzzles. This game supports room-scale VR. Works best when standing, but can be played seated as well.
The controls include:
- Trigger to grab and interact with objects.
- Pad to teleport to location.
- Grip to either take screenshots or change view modes depending on user preference.
- Menu to open the game menu.
Other settings (inside the game) are:
- Show FPS.
- Change screen scale to fit user’s hardware (bigger scale needs more resources but looks better).
- Change language (so far English and Spanish have been implemented).
- Reset the room.
Other features:
- Gameplay menu with objectives and a hint system.
- Commentary menu with additional information about the game, the author, tools used and special thanks.

April Update
Greetings! With this update I'm addressing several bugs and features that were simply not tolerable. Among the changes: - Now you can rotate the character with the left and right edges of the controller. The turn rate is adjustable in the settings menu. It works best when standing in the middle of the room, please bear with me. - New alternate control scheme in the settings menu, for the people who like to strafe, remember to stand in the center of the room since there is the collision of your body. Later I'll find out how to atach it to the head and not vice versa. - New option to see the center of the room in the settings, so you dont go there blindly. - Added new hands for the pawn, as well as the capabiltiy to see the grab sphere. It's my first 3D animation done all by myself from scratch, rigging and all. - New thought system that delivers messages when actions are performed. The text will allways be visible. - Fixed the teleport behaviour, now more precise with a line instead of a parabola. The debris from the skull jars interrupt the teleport, so keep that in mind. - English and Spanish languages are Up-to-date. - Now is possible to reset unused keys in case any is lost or stuck out of reach in the gameplay menu. - For those who have already finished the game and only want to see the new puzzles, you can force open the rooms in the gameplay menu. - New effect for the light in the first room. With this we hit the 70% development of the game! Hope to hear from you soon! Best RegardsRead full article on Community Announcements (Pavloff)Patch NotesOfficial
