About the Game
Deadstick: Bush Pilot Simulator is a career-focused bush flying sim where skill, judgement and knowing the land get you home. Fly into unforgiving wilderness, deliver vital cargo, and help keep these rural communities alive - inspired by real bush pilots who do exactly that.
It's more considered and tactile than other flight sims. From white-knuckle landings, last-second decisions, and flights that went south, stories emerge naturally here
Because the best stories aren't about flawless flights. They're about surviving the bad ones.
Most days you're picking your way through mountain passes, watching weather roll in from the north, and delivering cargo to communities that depend on you. It's methodical, absorbing work and the smarter your preparation, the smoother your operation runs.
But the wilderness doesn't forgive poor judgment. When things go sideways, there's no reset button. Just you, your aircraft, and wherever you can find to put it down.
MISSIONS
Carve out your career as a bush pilot, taking on cargo deliveries, recon missions and dynamic jobs from a cast of colourful locals.
PILOT FOR HIRE
There's no head office and no boss - just you, a logbook, a fuel bill, and the next job. Choose what's worth your time, and reinvest your earnings in the gear and routes that pay off.
INVEST
Spend your earnings on upgrades, hangars, modifications and repairs. Invest in rural airports to improve their runways and add fuel pumps, cell towers and other facilities.Transform the island through the work you choose.
REPUTATION
Earn a local reputation one flight at a time. Each airport tracks your safety, reliability, care and skill, unlocking more jobs. Just don't crash and burn at a major airport. Word gets around fast.
PILOT’S CORNER
Personalize your Pilot's Corner with memorabilia, trophies, and photos you've captured on your adventures.
Deadstick: Bush Pilot Simulator models the full reality of bush flying - from the aircraft systems you depend on to the terrain and weather that'll test every decision you make.
FLIGHT MODEL
From battery drain and weight distribution to stall behaviour and crosswind correction, every system behaves the way it should. Get it wrong and the aircraft will tell you.
COCKPIT
Study-level avionics, electrical loads, circuit breakers and instruments modelled in full. The better you know your aircraft, the better it'll serve you.
NAVIGATION
No GPS dependency. You're working with a map, compass, stopwatch and heading - the same tools real bush pilots have always relied on to find their way home.
WEATHER & TERRAIN
Updrafts and downdrafts, icing, thick cloud cover, grass strips, gravel and snow.
MODIFICATIONS
Access hangars to upgrade your aircraft into the ultimate STOL workhorse. Swap props for a faster cruise, enlarge the tyres for rough terrain, and tune the plane that suits the routes you fly.
DAMAGE MODEL
Worn tyres, failing systems, structural damage from a landing that was too heavy or a route that asked too much. Deal with what you've got, manage it home, or deadstick it down and hope the ground is kind.
We think you'll love Deadstick: Bush Pilot Simulator if you enjoy…

Dev Update | Introducing Region 3 & Demo Progress
Hey folks,Thanks so much for your patience while we ran a bunch of playtests and have been prepping for a Demo launch. Our plan is to launch the Demo soon, we still need to do a bit more testing and as soon as it's ready we'll make sure we shout about it everywhere. For those of you who did jump into our playtests, we wanted to say a big thank you, your feedback has been critical to us continue to shape Deadstick. We will be we FsimUK on October 10 & 11 where attendees will be able to get hands on with Deadstick set-up with a Flight Sim rig. Next up we'd like to introduce you to Region 3 - we have our previous looks at Region 1 (Waking) and Region 2 (Redshore), so let us talk about Riverine. Riverine occupies the heart of the Island’s southern half, nestled in a basin between some of the island’s tallest mountain ranges. Surrounded by Redshore to the south and east and Waking to the west, this lush central region forms a natural crossroads for pilots travelling between the warmer, more hospitable southern biomes and the harsher wilderness beyond the mountains to the north. This is a landscape carved and defined by water. Rivers, lakes, channels, and winding waterways cut through the valley, creating a patchwork of wooded hills, fertile lowlands, peninsulas, and small islands. At the centre of it all lies Hammerhead Island, home to Eastell, the seat of the islands government and the region’s only major airport.Eastell rests at the threshold of the Cursor Peninsula, on the banks of the Caraway River as it flows north from Redshore. As the river reaches the heart of the region, it gives way to a complex network of waterways, including the Guttermouth River. Follow its currents and you’ll find Guttermouth Fork, a well-travelled shipping checkpoint for cargo moving inland, before the river continues past Darnbrough and spills out into the Drowned Inlet. Southwest of Eastell, the breathtaking Painter’s Lake provides another of Riverine’s defining landmarks. Its waters feed...Read full article on Community Announcements (Mythwright)Patch NotesOfficial

June 2nd 5pm BST - June 9th 5pm BSTThis is the same playtest we ran in May (22-26th), no changes or updates have been made to the build.Playtest FAQCan I stream or post video content from the playtest?Yes! Feel free to share links to these in our Discord too :) I played the previous closed playtest and there is less content, is this right? Yes, the idea of this playtest is it gives us an opportunity to essentially test what would be coming in a future Demo of Deadstick. Where can I leave feedback and/or bug reports? Please make sure you’re sharing as much feedback as possible via our feedback form or our bug reporting form.Form 1 - Report a Bug: A very short form to submit information on a specific issueForm 2 - Playtest Survey: This form has questions about what you like and dislike about the contents of the playtest. This is designed to be filled in once. Form feedback is very important for us, as a very small team it makes it much easier for us to collate your information. We are also setting up a space on Discord for additional bugs and feedback, but we do recommend filling in the forms where possible.Does the playtest have HOTAS support?Yes. Not only this but we have a brand new Deadstick trailer! You can watch this below 👇 And finally, Jeff Sparks the Design Director is back with a Deadstick Dispatch #2 taking you through a cargo haul from Morton to 3 Corners. Dev Update | Playtest THIS WEEKEND & Region 2 - Redshore
Hey folks, We wanted to take some time today to update you on where we are with playtesting! If you've been part of our Discord you'll know we've been hosting some very limited playtests to test things like various HOTAS configurations, flight controls & general feedback. Now we've completed these smaller tests we are now hosting a more open playtest to help gather more feedback. For this playtest we will be using Steam playtest functionality to select 3,500 who have signed up at random. The playtest is now live until 11am BST, May 5th 2026. If you have not taken part in a playtest before you will receive a notification email to let you know the playtest is live - you will then be able to download jump in and play the playtest build. If you have played in our March playtest you won't receive a notification but the game will be available to download in your Steam Library. We have a general playtest discussion set-up on our Discord, but we encourage all feedback/bugs be sent to the feedback form here. We are so excited to be able to open this up to more people ahead of our full open playtest very soon (timing to be confirmed 👀) So let's talk about Region 2 - you'll know we did a bit of a deep dive into Waking (Region 1) back in February, so now it's time to talk about Redshore! Redshore occupies the labyrinthian southern coast, curving along the shoreline to the east before reaching north towards the island’s harsher biomes. Defined by water and shaped by time, this region presents a striking contrast to the enclosed calm of Waking. The land here is fractured and exposed, cut apart by winding rivers and deep channels that divide the terrain into a series of rugged peninsulas and isolated landmasses.Redshore wraps around and follows the contours of this mountainous centerpiece. From these central elevations, the journey of the restless Caraway River can be followed as it carves its way southward and splits, feeding into both the coastal waters of Cauldron Cove and the ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Mythwright)Patch NotesOfficial
Dev Update | Region 1 - Waking
We wanted to take some time today to talk about Region 1 in Deadstick, the full game will have 6 regions, which we'll talk about in the coming months.Introducing Region 1, officially named 'Waking' Waking is the warmer southern gateway occupying the island’s southwestern peninsula. This is where early explorers, like Ellis Moore, first built settlements on the island. Somewhat sheltered from harsher northern climates, this early region enjoys milder weather and some of the most vibrant landscapes found anywhere on the island.Dense forests fill the terrain, covering much of the landmass. Waking is best known for its striking autumn woodlands. Sweeping groves of golden-brown leaves provide enduring colour and visual diversity, setting Waking apart from the colder evergreen regions found further north. At the heart of Waking, a cascading waterfall feeds into the tranquil waters of Greyhound Lake, creating one of the island’s most striking water features. The surrounding forests and shorelines teem with life, making the area feel alive and welcoming to new explorers.Waking’s ecosystem is rich with unique flora and fauna. Herbivores thrive in the fertile environment, with herds of deer roaming the forests, foxes moving quietly through undergrowth, and free-range cattle grazing across open clearings. The abundance of plant life supports a balanced and peaceful wildlife population, reinforcing the region’s reputation as the island's most hospitable wilderness. Where can you land in Waking? Here is a breakdown of places you'll spot.
