About this game

Dinosaurs Prehistoric Survivors is a single player game that includes several game modes such as the Survivor Mode, the Arcade mode, and the Free Roam Mode.

The Survivor Mode is a mode designed for players who prefer a more challenging gameplay experience. The Survivor mode puts the players ability to survive as a dinosaur to the test in a variety of treacherous regions where players must navigate through environment hazards and sometimes fight in order to obtain resources. Aside from surviving a brutal environment, the player is also given an objective and that is to defeat a guardian that resides within each region. Defeating a guardian marks the completion of a region. Unlike other modes that features dinosaurs from cretaceous North America, the Survivor Mode features dinosaur from cretaceous Asia.

The Arcade Mode is a mode designed for players who prefer simulation type gameplay where players would live the life of a dinosaur from juvenile to adult in a dynamically populated open world environment. The world in the Arcade Mode changes as the player grows, creatures will migrate or go extinct, corpses will decay overtime, creature behavior changes based on available resources and competition, and all of these dynamic elements are designed to give players unique challenges that would test their ability to adapt to the ever changing world.

The Free Roam Mode is designed for players who prefer a more serene and hassle free gameplay experience where the player can choose to play as a dinosaur without the worry of missions and objectives.

Dinosaurs Prehistoric Survivors lets players choose from a selection of more than 25 dinosaur species, from the feeble Parkosaurus to the mighty Tyrannosaurus, ranging from multiple game modes.

Dinosaurs Prehistoric Survivors brings a variety of environments for players to explore and experience. Some of these environments include dense forests, swamps and wetlands, beaches, rocky mountains, volcanic regions, and underwater environments.

    A New Direction

Hi everyone,It's been a while and a lot has changed since then. So I thought I'd share with you what I've been doing, the direction I'm hoping to take DPS, where the project is at, and how I've gained more experience over the years through making games and participating in other projects. So with that said, let's get started! The PlanI've been planning a complete overhaul for quite some time now. However, there were a few key areas, such as design and mechanics, where there were still gaps in my capabilities.Fortunately, many of those gaps were answered through the development and Early Access of Dinosaurs Dominion. That experience helped me better understand what worked, what didn't, and ultimately led me to the current concept for the remake.A New DirectionThe original DPS tried to be a bit of everything: an open-world dinosaur survival simulator, an RPG, a linear combat experience, and a cozy nature walking sim. And although this all sounds nice on paper, it also dilutes the game's identity.Which is why the remake aims to unify these ideas into a single mode focused on one core experience:Survive as a dinosaur in nature.A New Design PhilosophyLess is more, and do more with less. With the fantasy in check, the next step for me was to trim the bloat and deepen the core experience. The original game featured a large number of dinosaurs, biomes, and other content. While that's great in theory, as a solo developer it quickly becomes an unnecessary time sink. So instead, I've opted for fewer dinosaurs while greatly increasing the differentiation between them: how they play, what they require from the player, and how they feel to experience.Aside from the dinosaurs, I've also opted to reduce the overall biome count down to a single biome with multiple unique sites. Unlike the original game, which featured several biomes, this recraft focuses on a single biome: the Conifer Forest, giving the game a more cohesive mountainous atmosphere. This will be coupled with several uniq...

    A New Beginning

Hi everyone, Happy Lunar New Years! We would like to share with you a sneak peek of the future of our developments and current project we are working on, so lets get started! Exhibition Standalone Having worked on Dinosaurs Prehistoric Survivors and Dinosaurs A Prehistoric Adventure we have created a lot of dinosaur models. And our models, although has some artistic liberties to them, are still based on real world findings which make them hold some educational values. Because of this we have drafted a standalone Exhibition using our dinosaurs. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32675427/d331e9e08a205301fcfe9a84e4209056dae8cac4.png Currently this is still a rough concept and we will keep you updated as development progresses. This will be our side project that will accompany our main project moving forward. The Main Project And now to get to something a little bit more exciting. Over the past year we have been experimenting and developing a new dinosaur game. We can't say much about this game as of now, however, this game will be unlike any other dinosaur game on the market at the moment and will offer a combat system that is very different than what we are accustomed to with games of this genre. We are currently developing this game using Unity 2021 and the status of this game is still early in development, however we have managed to wrap up the core systems for the game and we are excited to finally prep for its reveal in Q1 2023. More updates coming soon! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32675427/c06e331d4b329217601db223b4efd7e80f8f7c8c.png Be sure to follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our Youtube channel to not miss out on updates and information about future projects.

Survivor Mode Exhibition Update (V.1.3.0.1) LIVE!

Hi everyone, The Survivor Mode Exhibition Update (V. 1.3.0.1) is now LIVE! This update introduces the exhibition and free roam section to the Survivor Mode where players can play and roam around as every dinosaur in the Survivor Mode. As usual, we will only highlight the major elements that we've worked on so lets get started: Added Exhibition Section (Dinosaurs Information) to the Survivor Mode Character Selection Scene Implemented Playable Map (Exhibition Map) for Survivor Mode Exhibition Section Integrated all Dinosaurs (except for marine and flying reptiles) in Survivor Mode to become playable in the new Exhibition Map Increased Speed for all dinosaurs in the Exhibition Map Lower Stamina Depletion rate for all dinosaurs in the Exhibition Map. This will enable players to freely run throughout the map without worry of exhaustion (stamina depletion). Note: You may need to restart Steam for the update to take into effect Dev Note: As mentioned in the previous post, the dinosaurs for the Survivor Mode are made to suit a more linear setting compared to an open world setting. And upon working on this, it becomes very clear that we would need to do a substantial overhaul in order for the Survivor Mode dinosaurs, in particularly the AI and combat, to work properly in an open world setting. Because of this we have decided to shift the free roam area from an open world to a linear map much attuned with the rest of Survivor Mode regions. The map that we used for the free roam is one of the very first maps that we've created for the Survivor Mode to which we have made further improvements and optimizations. That’s currently it for this post and thank you so much for your support. More info coming soon. Exhibition Update Info

Hi everyone, We would like to share some of the things we’ve been working on for the game. So lets get started. Exhibition Mode The first element we’ve been working on is an Exhibition Mode for the Survival Mode portion of the game. The Exhibition Mode is a mode where players could get more information about the dinosaurs available in the game. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32675427/999c68feff827e55a7049d1326ee1da3f25addc5.png Aside from giving information for each dinosaur, we would also like players to be able to play as the dinosaurs they’ve viewed in the Exhibition Mode. Because of this we’ve decided to integrate a new Free Roam Map for players to explore. New Free Roam Map An additional Free Roam Map is currently in the works that would enable players to play Survivor Mode dinosaurs in a more open world setting. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32675427/0f3826a3a44d3f217ef6dbb3784c59d9739cf2ae.png It must be noted that the Survivor Mode dinosaurs were made to suit a more linear environment, therefore, several elements must be adjusted in order for them to fit an open world setting. Because of this, the new Free Roam Map will most likely not be available in the next update and instead will be made available in a later update. That’s currently it for this post. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our Youtube channel to not miss out on updates and information about future projects. Thank you so much for your support, and more updates coming soon.

    Dinosaurs A Prehistoric Adventure 2

Hi everyone We have a very exciting news, Dinosaurs A Prehistoric Adventure 2 is now available on steam! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32675427/4c716397bf89c3af6fe31e0605e157cc468290d8.png Dinosaurs A Prehistoric Adventure 2 is an Action-RPG that builds upon its predecessor with 30 playable dinosaurs, numerous unlockable skins, customizable RPG elements, and a variety of regions to explore. At its core, Dinosaurs A Prehistoric Adventure 2 is geared for players who prefer a more casual and lean back experience. What's Next With the release of Dinosaurs A Prehistoric Adventure 2, we would also like to address what's next for us in terms of development. As we all know, the multiplayer survival genre for dinosaur games in particular is getting extremely crowded. And although we do see the appeal, we strive to make something different and unique without disregarding player interest. Because of this we have decided to work on smaller projects so that we may test the waters as to what may or may not work in order to better allocate our resources. Currently, we have another small project that is currently in the works and we will share more details about this when its more fleshed out. Thank you so much for your support, and more updates coming soon. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our Youtube channel to not miss out on any information regarding development.
