Embark on a thrilling journey through Inhumanus, where you must navigate a dangerous sci-fi setting as you face off against alien threats. Utilize diverse weaponry to survive in this 2018 action-adventure game from Bad Bird Studios.
About this game
Inhumanus is a story-based Sci-Fi single player / co-op (up to 4 players) virtual reality shooter. You will use a variety of guns to survive in a secret underground complex full of aliens, robots, and mutants. You will be forced to go deeper into the dangerous facility in order to discover its purpose, and in search of a way home.
The campaign contains 14 levels and should take about 8-10 hours to complete.
There are 21 guns scattered throughout the campaign, as well as 2 secret unlockable uber guns.
In addition to the campaign, Inhumanus also features a mode called "The Descent", the perfect mode for those who need a break from the campaign and just crave some action.
"The Descent". The test of a true space marine. No story, just combat. Delve lower and lower into the facility filled with beasts, robots, and mutants. Earn more powerful weapons and face more fearsome foes as you progress deeper. Each level is randomly generated and features 5 different themes with matching enemies. The descent features 15 of the game's guns and 22 of the game's enemies.
Inhumanus has a choice between trackpad movement, traditional teleport, and a trackpad/teleport hybrid movement. Roomscale with 360 degree tracking is highly recommended, although not required. Users can easily turn with the click of a button, and Rift users have additional rotation options.
Inhumanus can now be played with a flat monitor and Mouse/Keyboard, but VR is highly recommended.
*UPDATE*
We have added some new features since launch. These features include:
- Option for easy mode. Enemies do less damage and take fewer shots to kill.
- Normal mode is now easier as well.
- Added a hard mode, which represents the original difficulty when the game was first released (was too hard for most players)
- Option for hardcore mode. Enemies take fewer shots to kill, but do MUCH more damage.
- Option for arcade reload. With this option enabled, you can reload your weapons with a button push rather than manually reloading them by hand.
- Option for extra light. With this option enabled, dark levels will have extra lighting so they are not pitch black.
- Option to skip levels. Stuck on a level that is too scary/too hard? You can now skip to the next level. That way, you can experience the whole game even if you are unable to play the scarier levels.
- Cheats codes/2 uber guns. They must be unlocked first!
- Secret collectible objects added to each level. Collect them all to unlock certain cheat codes. Some are quite hard to find!
- Traditional teleport locomotion.
- New level: Space. In this level, you will be piloting a small space ship (fighter). More bonus levels are coming soon!
- New level: Landing Bay. This is an endgame level, so it is quite challenging.
- New level: Mech. Another challenging endgame level. Take control of a mech suit and mow down hoards of enemies.
- New FINAL level: Destruction.
- The new action mode "The Descent".
- 3 New enemies, the "Seeker" drone, the "Shredder" drone, and the "Heavy" drone (which is a mini boss).
- Extra turning controls, including incremental and continuous turning with the trackpad/thumbstick.
- Mouse / Keyboard mode.
- 4 new campaign guns.
- Upped the co-op from 2 to 4 players.

New "The Descent" Update!
Hello, everybody! Today's update is for "The Descent". I felt it was a little repetitive, so I added some more variety into it. It used to be 4 levels of random gen halls/rooms with enemies scattered around (kill all enemies to advance to the next level), and then 1 big room with new weapons and big wave of enemies. But now, there are 2 more types of levels. - Alarm level. Enemies will constantly spawn on this level. Get to the elevator at the end of the level as fast as you can before you are overwhelmed by the enemies. - Survive level. Somewhat large room full of obstacles/cover. Survive the wave of enemies. When the wave is over, you can advance to the next level. I also added in another "big room" at level 40. And if you reach level 40, you get the "Heavy Rifle", the most powerful weapon in the game (not including cheat code weapons). If you reach this level, you also unlock the new cheat code I added, which will allow you to have the heavy rifle in any campaign level (rather than just the final level). Also, I fixed the co-op for "The Descent" (which broke after the recent 4 player update). I hope you all enjoy the update, and let me know if you find any bugs!Read full article on Community Announcements (Dr. Gooseman)Patch NotesOfficial
Co-op now expanded to 4 players.
Hey, everyone. I've had a few people request that I up the co-op from 2 players to 4. You asked, so I delivered. I had to reprogram a lot of the game logic to work for 4 people, so if you try it out, let me know if you find any bugs. Also fixed a lot of other bugs and made some improvements to Robotics, Cave, and Bio lab. Thanks everybody!Read full article on Community Announcements (Dr. Gooseman)Patch NotesOfficial

New update! Mouse / keyboard mode and 4 new guns.
Hey, everyone! Sorry this update took so long. Adding the M/KB mode and making it work alongside of the VR player took a long time. Want to play co-op, but none of your friends have a VR headset? Too chicken to play the dark levels alone? Well, now you can have a friend/sibling/lover/hooker play co-op with you on a flat monitor with the new mouse / keyboard mode! M/KB mode will launch automatically if you don't have a VR headset connected, or you can switch to M/KB by pressing the spacebar in the lobby. 4 new guns! - Burst fire pistol (for when the starting pistols just aren't cutting it anymore and you've stored a lot of pistol ammo). - Low RoF SMG with a larger magazine and very low recoil (for the more deliberate among us). - Sniper rifle. Powerful semi-auto rifle with a zoomable holo-projection sight. - Laser Sniper rifle. Extremely powerful semi-auto laser rifle with a zoomable holo-projection sight. Uses a large amount of energy cells. Lots of bug fixes and some optimizations. A huge thank you to anyone who has sent me bug reports! The campaign is relatively long and it takes a very long time to retest the entire campaign every time I make an update, so your help is very much appreciated. Inhumanus is 50% off right now ($7.50). Every sale helps me out a lot and allows me to put more time into improving this game, and finishing up my other game in development. https://store.steampowered.com/app/767970/Inhumanus/ Here is a pic of the M/KB mode + the holo-projection sight on the new sniper rifle. https://imgur.com/mnPrP5Y Here is a pic of the new guns. https://imgur.com/2oGr803 Thank you for your support, and let me know if you have any issues or suggestions! Have fun!Read full article on Community Announcements (Dr. Gooseman)Patch NotesOfficial

Has the option for either incremental or continuous turn; - Trackpad Turn Speed: Slow, medium, or high. We hope you all the final level and these extra options!
