Explore uncharted mountains as you lead a Dwarven mining colony, balancing craftwork and combat to aid allies. Experience an adventure that blends strategy with RPG elements, released by Warpzone Studios in 2021.
About this game
Hammerting is a vertical dwarven mining colony sim with RPG elements.
Manage a clan of colourful Dwarves, establish an epic mining operation, craft legendary swords and delve deep for greater glory, riches... and danger.
With conflict raging on the surface, the Dwarves pledge to delve deep and as master craftspeople, will produce and supply what is needed to support their allies. From humble beginnings, you start with a handful of Dwarves who need to set up their operations quickly. However, as you progress, your small clan will expand and become known throughout the Overworld for their skill and premium craftsmanship.
Crafting for Victory
Allies on the surface will have all manner of requests. Dwarves may find themselves asked to craft a plethora of silver swords against an oncoming army.
With the Overworld in need, every successful delivery takes you one step closer to triumph. As your Dwarves grow in skill and your base expands, build conveyor belts and elevators to free them of manual labour.
Colorful Personalities
Does Åglöf’s fancy ancestry clash with Vargskreva’s humble upbringing? Is your explorer afraid of the dark? Has your master crafter reached their Ballmer Peak? Aim for success and exploit the strengths of your Dwarves, as well as their weaknesses. Each Dwarf is richly and uniquely defined through its stats, Dwarven ancestry, traits, abilities, equipment, move-set and much more, as they are shaped by events occurring in their lives.

Skilled Craftspeople
Anyone can craft an Iron Sword, but only Dwarves can dig down into the depths and cart up boatloads of diamonds and bones and use it to craft the... Iron Sword +2.
With every strike of the hammer on an anvil, a skilled Dwarf has a better chance of achieving a critical result, giving you better and improved gear.

Living Cave
It is as they say – “Fortune favours the bold”, and only in the deepest depths will you find the most powerful materials, the warmest magma, the rarest treasures, but also the most dangerous conditions.
Figuring out the fastest and safest route down - and up again - is a chief concern, but you’ll have plenty of unique Dwarven mechanisms to help you to do so.
Hammerting features liquid and physics mechanics for pumping sizzling lava to your hearths, brewing hoppy beer, tossing burning torches down shafts to light up the unknown and more!
Online Co-op Mode
A Dwarven king once said: “A single axe is easily blunt, but an army of axes is unbreakable!”. You might want to explore and populate the depths of Mara on your own, but you can also partner up with jolly comrades and run a dwarven colony together. It’s all about synchronization, companionship and common goals!

Quality of Life - Update 4
Dwarves! A new update is out now which brings completely reworked & remodelled dwarves in full 3D plus a mighty revamp of the Overworld war! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35141000/46ee57dd4060441bf2499b21dfb6497a8795ebf9.gif Full patch notes below: Quality of Life 4 Update - Version 1.2.39.0 Features: ⦿ Completely Remodelled and Reanimated 3D Dwarves! The dwarves have been completely remodelled in full 3D! Their visuals now match their 2D portraits! When running around on the Overworld, they will now face the correct direction! When running around inside rooms, they will also face the correct direction! Dwarven women will now look like dwarven women both before and after a save/load! Their clothes' colors will match the colors of their clan, and their skin and hair should be consistently colored. Their tools are still flat as pancakes. We tried to get the dwarves to upgrade but they really liked them that way so... What can we do? ⦿ Return of the Overworld War! Factions will group up in alliances and wage large scale war! While you can still directly manipulate the opinions between on the Overworld through Trade Lore, trading and building upgrades will also have significant effects. Choose to team up with the closest, or the strongest, or perhaps wait until they've all duked it out, and only then get truly involved. You must now keep factions on your good side, or at least on your not-bad side. While the Overworld is still quite mellow at the start of the game, as soon as someone starts a war, another one will start an alliance, and then the others will scramble to ally before it's too late. Use your manipulative influence to choose who teams up with who. Eventually you can start an alliance of your own and conquer the Overworld! ⦿ Overworld Faction Interactions! Many new, tweaked, and improved rules for how factions update their opinion of each other and for how they declare war, truce, peace, and when they create alliances. The overall aim of these changes has been to increa...Read full article on Community Announcements (Micki_Team17)Patch NotesOfficial
Quality of Life 3 Update - Version 1.1.19.2
We're back once again with another gem of an update! This time around we've made a huge number of quality of life changes that are sure to put the ale back in your tavern. Take a look at the patch notes below: Features: ⦿ Farming improvements! Plants no longer need to be replanted. The farmer will always replant them after harvesting. Crops gained by harvesting can now be maintained in the Cave Farm, by selecting 'Store '. When a crop satisfies all maintain orders, it will no longer be harvested. Harvesting of specific plants is now an actual job, done by Farmers. Farming was previously managed by an old AI system, so this should improve and optimize behavior. Harvesting jobs inherits their priority from hauling priority set in Cave Farms. Crops without maintain orders will always be harvested, just like before. Tooltips on plants now show their growth stage information, and a note about maintaining them in Cave Farms. Some plants now require additional resources, such as water, for some growth stages. Store recipes in the Cave Farm now require Maintain Amount, and autoselling (see below) is not allowed. ⦿ Automatic Selling! Crafting recipe entries can now be marked to automatically sell newly crafted items. The items will be sold to whichever Overworld location pays the most. Overworld locations will pay more for items yielding Fortification, Might, and Manpower, if they are in need of it. Items are reevaluated from time to time to determine the best location. You can specify a minimum Overworld Faction Opinion rating for items to be sold to. Overworld Locations can now reach a Demand level of 4. ⦿ Achievements! Hammerting now has achievements. You will need to start a new game to earn them. Architect, Candy Man, Drill Thrill, Exorcist, Old McDonald, A Dole of Dwarves, House in Session, Liquid Metal, Monster Mash, Railroad Magnate, Snow White, Spelunker Extraordinaire, Underworld Sun, Technological Ascendancy, Righteous Affluence, and World Conquest! ⦿ Dedicated Ha...Read full article on Community Announcements (jamess)Press Coverage
Hammerting review
My great hall’s nearly ready, but there’s a problem. I need four pieces of mortar to finish the job. Mortar is made in the foundry, using lime. Lime is made in the arcane workshop, from bonemeal. The bonemeal, of course, is ground out of the bones of dead enemies in the cave farm. And the frustrating thing is that I have the bones to make the bonemeal to make the lime to make the mortar, but for some reason no one’s transporting it. No, in fact, the /really/ frustrating thing is that I seem to have got lost in this cave and wandered into a ‘90s adventure game...
