About this game

Developed by Sonic Shield and published by Zodiac Interactive, Big Day is an intense pixel-art shooter ARPG. Set in the smashed-up aftermath of a crippling zombie outbreak, you’ll pit your wits (and trigger fingers) against hordes of the marauding undead.
Combining a top-down viewpoint with lightning fast combat, you’ll need to build and strengthen your arsenal of boomsticks to have any hope of rescuing your lost daughter, as well as finding out exactly what started this mess in the first place.

• Story:

  Zombies! Just like in the movies! Society is on its knees, and simple farmer Pancho must travel across what remains of the planet order to rescue his daughter Liz. Along the way he’ll find himself battling through cities infected by the mysterious zombie virus “Snowdrop”, while at the same time becoming tangled in a shocking international conspiracy.

  Big Day Early Access Release

The development team at Sonic Shield have been working very hard on this, and we’re excited to invite players to experience what we’ve cooked up! As an Early Access release, expect some rough edges going in. There are issues we’re already aware of, and there’ll be ones that we haven’t come across yet – so please don’t be afraid to sound off here or in the Steam discussion forums. Please also be aware that the game requires a constant internet connection, and VPNs/firewalls/anti-virus software can sometimes cause problems.   Big Day Releasing on October 2nd!

The amended release date is October 2nd 2018.  Once again, apologies to anyone who was anticipating gunning down the zombie hordes this week.   BIG DAY Release Update

To meet this launch day, we submitted the release build for Steam review on 19th September. This process normally takes just a few days; however Steam have not yet completed their review.  Unfortunately, this means we are unable to release BIG DAY today.  The game is in the review process now, and we will update you as soon as possible once we are given the green light to release. Apologies to all those looking forward to blasting zombies today – we know it sucks.
