UPDATE V0.02
Update V.0.02 Code Fix Performance issue related to the appearance of NPCs during their spawning process (no more FPS drops during this phase). The tailpieces are now properly secured by the strings and can no longer be removed while the strings are in place. The placement ghost mesh for cables is no longer obstructed by the neck, strings, or pickups. (It now appears as soon as all the other required electronic components are in place.) The workbench now preserves the instrument's current rotation state during game and after loading a game, eliminating the bug where the backplate assembly animation would play in the wrong direction after leaving and returning to the workbench. Pickups The pickups are now correctly positioned in terms of their height relative to the strings. 3D Mesh New main workbench 3d model. New Tune-O-Matic Bridge 3D model. Items Added 3 new metal knob variants. Added 4 wood stain items. SHOP INTERFACE Added (Wood Stain) category. UI UPDATE WIP I am currently creating a new UI theme for the game a darker theme featuring effects and animations. I have started implementing it, and it will soon be rolled out everywhere. Added a Game Mode and map selection screen that appears after clicking the "New Game" button in the menu. I am currently coding a sandbox mode featuring no NPCs or progression, plus unlimited money and access to all items so players can freely test the game's features and latest additions. (next update) The map selection screen will also allow players to choose their starting location. I have some great ideas for the maps and already possess plenty of assets, given my specialization in creating natural environments. (This features was planned but just not implemented yet.) UPDATE
Update Code Updated the crouching system. Added light switches inside the garage and the house, allowing you to control the lights manually. The lighting system is also controlled by triggers, which automatically turn the lights on or off when you leave a room. When you turn off a light manually, it remains off until you turn it back on. The automatic mode then resumes. LIGHTING Added new engine variables to adjust Lumen resource usage. (Best performance is achieved with Lumen enabled.) Restored Unreal Engine's default tone mapper and exposure settings, resulting in better visuals after some additional tweaking. Replaced the Rect Lights inside the garage and the house with Point and Spot Lights, resulting in better performance and fewer FPS drops. Materials & Textures Updated the pickup shader to use an ID map workflow. Effects and details are managed directly by the shader instead of by individual texture sets. This results in better performance, a smaller game size, and improved visual detail and speed-up the creation workflow. 3D Meshes Updated the dual-coil pickup mesh by adding copper wire inside it and fixing its scale, added fabric texture to the synthetic fabric tape surrounding the coils. Items Added the first Humbucker pickup. Added the first Rail pickups. Added a glowing pickup. (Other colors to follow) Added new glowing strings items Blue and Green. SHOWROOM Added new instrument position presets: Perspective, Focus on Pickups, and Focus on Neck.Added an option to hide the player infos (X) keyRead full article on Community Announcements (Accretion-Games)Patch NotesOfficial
IMPORTANT UPDATE
Changes Painting Station New interface for the painting station. (Visuals are not final, but all logic and code are updated) An Info button is available in the top-left corner of the UI to display help instructions. One instruction per mode (Painting Mode/Varnishing Mode). Painting station now requires spray paint and varnish items. Added consumption for paint and varnish items. Added 2 new categories to the shop: Paint and Varnish. Added paint items to the shop.(Translation will be done tomorrow) Added varnish items to the shop.(Translation will be done tomorrow) Code Core code refactored for a better personal workflow and item management. Started reworking the customization interface. Work in progress, but these code changes make future management easier. I’ve added a new string management system for the instruments; everything is now handled automatically. There’s no longer any need to buy a specific string set for each guitar or bass model, as the code takes care of finding the right 3D meshes for each string. Workbench After dismounting all parts and the body of an instrument, leaving the workbench now displays a placeholder (transparent guitar body) instead of nothing. Added a new option in the workbench action wheel to cancel building a new instrument and reset the workbench when the placeholder body is active. Added a new option in the workbench action wheel to sell your own guitar (excluding client guitars). Save / Load Game Fixed a bug. Save and load functionality now works perfectly. Customers Fixed customer respawning issues after loading a save. Added a spawn safety mechanism for NPCs summoned by the player or returning after a mission cancellation. (The "Call" and "Cancel" buttons reappear if a spawn fails, allowing you to click them again.) Items Added plastic volume knobs. Added spray paint items. Added varnish items. Added new string item ;) Material & Textures Updated the procedural wood shader for guitar bodies and necks (now uses textures instead...Read full article on Community Announcements (Accretion-Games)Patch NotesOfficial
HOTFIX & IMPROVEMENT
Update: Core Logic, UI & Performance Fixes Core LogicRebuilt the interaction component logic from the ground up. Added a new Highlight Component driven by optimized C++ interaction logic (resolving object highlight bugs). Rebuilt the Edit/Place logic for the placement component for a smoother, cleaner feel. UIOn-screen control widgets now dynamically reflect your custom keybindings. Added Right Mouse Button (RMB) action to the action bar inside the Workbench interface widget (Open/Close Action Wheel). Performance & VisualsFixed performance issues by removing periodic engine lighting recalculations between shop and level skylights. Reverted to a single, performance-friendly Skylight setup for better stability. Graphics & Visual FidelityIf you want the visual quality to match the trailers and screenshots, make sure to check the graphics menu: By default, Global Illumination is set to None and Reflections are set to Screen-Space for baseline performance. Turn Lumen ON under Global Illumination and Reflections in the settings menu to enable high-end visual fidelity. Important: Starting a new game is strongly recommended with this update to avoid corrupted actors and save data.Read full article on Community Announcements (Accretion-Games)
