About the Game
Just Ski is a challenging, minimalist, physics driven game that will frustrate and punish you in the beginning but reward you with the feeling of mastery in the end.The Controls
The controls for Just Ski are borrowed from an old, abandoned game called Ski Stunt Simulator.Your only control over the skier is to move your mouse down to make him crouch or up to make him extend. It's a very simple to understand mechanic but requires a healthy amount of practice to master.
The key to success with Just Ski is learning to control your rotation while in the air. It's all about gaining a feel for the conservation of angular momentum: crouch to spin faster, extend to spin slower.

Like learning to ride a bike, Just Ski is going to feel clunky and impossible in the beginning, but once mastered will feel smooth and rewarding with just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting.

Just Ski+ A Major Update to Just Ski
The Past It's been almost 3yrs now since "Just Ski" was first released on Steam. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31156058/f4ac4ce5f5ced07e3425132c4db321830b50b010.gif Yee Haw! I'm on STEAM Just Ski on Steam started as just an experiment for me. Up until that point I had been primarily focused on mobile game development but always with one eye toward Steam. Just Ski was my latest mobile game at the time and one day I decided to test the waters and release it on Steam. I made some minor adjustments to the game to get it ready for Steam and released. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31156058/65bca9d41d3129a9ed0671766f37acea1281ffad.png The original Just Ski start screen The experiment went better than expected and I have not been back to mobile game development yet. Don't get me wrong, I will still release my games for mobile platforms, but they will be on Steam first and then ported to mobile rather than the other way around. After Just Ski was released I made some minor bug fix updates and one medium size update that added the highly requested checkpoints to the game. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31156058/4f7d0e6073cd7340fa54e22ca9e6d30a2741e6a2.png I resisted these checkpoints for a LONG time. So glad I finally gave in. The Present After the checkpoint update I let Just Ski just sit (like my play on words?) and moved on to start developing my next game, "Just Flip. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/31156058/b4a9a956144b554641e4b950a1220c5c94ac9cf3.gif Testing some "Parkour Stones" in Just Flip. (Look for Just Flip to release in 2021) To my surprise, Just Ski kept getting steady downloads and the reviews continued to be very positive. I reached a point with "Just Flip" development where I needed to let it sit for a while and think about it's design.
