About this game
Shiver is a beautiful and chilling point-and-click horror adventure from Kowai Sugoi Studios. As you explore the recently closed Windy Oaks National Park, you must rely on your wits and bravery to conquer challenges and search for rescue. Spanning the course of one captivating hour, you will attempt to unravel the mysteries of the park and escape with your body intact.
In the early 1990's, in a time before mobile phones and the Internet, you find yourself travelling to visit your aging father in a remote retirement home. On the way, you find yourself stranded in the strangely abandoned Windy Oaks National Park: a new park founded on land donated by the Samstone Mining Company as an act of goodwill after a catastrophic sinkhole accident. Using your wits and tenacity, you must figure out a way to contact help and escape, before the park consumes you.

Priceless Play 26 October 2019
I know that Southern California is straight out of a horror movie because right now, this sliver of The Golden State is on fire. It’s not the first time, and it probably won’t be the last. I’ve seen ash rain from the sky, I’ve seen the sky turn ruddy browns in the middle of the day, and sometimes I think the very air is squeezing every last drop of moisture out of my skin until I turn into dust. It’s a true hellscape, and yet everyone seems to just carry on. Folks call it fire season, for crying out loud. The banality of SoCal horror is 35 and wildfires at the end of October, and I long for the cool, crisp Halloween autumns of my childhood. To get into the spirit of things, I have tried to conjure the very essence of Halloween with some of the scariest games available on itch. Shiver will be FREE after Friday the 13th!
It's been a long road since Shiver first came out back in 2017. The whole process has been a tremendous experience, and we want to give our sincere appreciation to our friends, family, and fans who've supported us along the way. This particular adventure of ours is coming to an end: over the next month our studio will officially be closing its doors. On the upside, we’re excited to announce that by September 14, Shiver will be available for FREE on Steam. Just in time for some nostalgic Halloween chills. 🎃 We think this is a good way for the game to live on after our studio is gone -- may it bring some spooky delight to many more people in the years to come.
