Train Your Minibot challenges you to design and pilot tiny bots through tricky paths. With a mix of casual fun and strategic thinking, create obstacles and guide your mini-robot to victory.
About this game
You're a middle school robotics student and you're ready to impress your peers! In Train Your Minibot you will face a number of pre-built obstacle courses consisting of objects from around your house.
Solve the puzzle using the remaining objects you've found around the house that will make the path possible for the minibot to make his way across.
Then take control of your very own minibot and platform your way across the level. Did you put things within his reach? Perhaps try using a combustible boosting platform, commonly known as a soda can, and give the minibot a blast across the room!

The Graphics Driver Update
Welcome to update 0.8! For the longest time I have wanted to completely redo the lighting in the game. Not only did I always feel like it wasn't the best lighting (especially the shadows), but it also contributed over 700MBs of the game's file size. After yearly attempt for the past few years, I have finally succeeded in not only reducing the file size but also improving the quality of lights and shadows. With the new lightmaps the game's filesize has reduced from 1.5GBs to just a tad below 1GB. But that's not the only change in this update, so let us get right to the changelog. Major Changes Complete Overhaul of Lighting Upgraded to a new Rendering Pipeline Replaced the Outline System Minor Changes Updated to a new version of Unity Split grouped meshes into individual objects for optimization Optimizations across the game Minor changes to the Tutorial Further improvements to controller support Bug Fixes Fixed issues with Rubber Duck not always launching players Fixed levels 19-30 sometimes returning to main menu on finish Fixed & adjusted colliders on the Aeroplane If you find any bugs please do report them either in the Steam Discussions or over on the Fishagon Discord! And with that we continue on the road to 1.0. I'm not going to give a self-imposed deadline on it this time around. It will come when it comes realistically. I will say the next update will build upon the changes of this update. There will be new objects to use in the level editor thanks to the mesh group splitting. The tutorial will receive an entire overhaul. Along with those changes next update we will be aiming to have official controller support & Steam Deck Verified. I estimate once those things are achieved we will be about an update away from full release. ---- Also if you haven't seen we also released a free online party game about movies! Check it out below. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1792500/Boring_Movies/ In the future we will probably release a custom secret Minibot avatar for ...Read full article on Community Announcements (SkyTech6)Patch NotesOfficial
The 99% Calibration Update
Welcome to update 0.7! This is the final minor version release before 1.0. Train Your Minibot now has 30 total levels as I had always hoped to include. As well all known bugs have been fixed, the UI has been improved, and performance has been significantly increased (Steam Deck is quite a fun way to play). I am extremely proud of the current state of the game and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years. Although, this is not the end of development on TYM; below the patch notes I have included the roadmap to 1.0 if you are interested. Major Changes 12 NEW LEVELS ADDED bringing the game to a total of 30 levels! New Object Selection System, now raycasts from camera to finger tip instead of detection under the hand Minor Changes Reworked the "Floor is Lava" system for more accurate detection Further improved the In-Game Button Scaling Improved the Level Editor menu UI Minibot ragdoll effect has been greatly improved Improved the logic of the Mute button on Main Menu Bug Fixes An edge-case where Duck place-able became impossible to select Wind would push Minibot off Start while placing objects Minibot could be pushed off Finish Locked Levels can no longer be selected Cardboard Bottom Flaps will no longer occasionally kill Minibot Workshop level preview images will no longer show Aeroplane route Cleanup of base game level preview images The initial resolution setting will no longer set to the lowest supported value If you find any bugs please do report them either in the Steam Discussions or over on the Fishagon Discord! Roadmap to 1.0 Reordering all 30 levels by difficulty & learning curve Improved Controller Support Steam Deck Verified Complete Rework of Lights Expanded Settings Menus These are the final four items I have planned for the 1.0 Update. The levels are currently in the order they were added to the game. Some of the final 12 levels that were included in this update are easier than earlier levels, but provide a better learning curve to some of the...Read full article on Community Announcements (Fishagon LLC)Patch NotesOfficial
0.6.3
This is a smaller update than last, but it includes some crucial fixes that weren't apparent until we were testing one of the new upcoming levels. This update is a byproduct of the push to finish Train Your Minibot's levels. Major Changes Added Coyote Time! (note it's quite minor and only to cover very slight delay of input, I'm dedicated to keeping this a very precise platformer.) Minor Changes Movement Acceleration and Deceleration to smooth the animations Soda Particles have been overhauled Jenga blocks placed on RC trucks are now ridable Bug Fixes A very specific scenario we discovered while developing one of the final levels showed how the Retry and Puzzle Pause menus to overlap. This has been fixed, but also probably wasn't possible in the previous public builds. Push Currents no longer can push Minibot when he isn't in platformer modeRead full article on Community Announcements (SkyTech6)
