    Version 0.7.34 - Archetypes Reborn

Offsprings of the First Men, welcome! ːthetreeoflifeːI originally hoped to deliver this update back in April — so thank you for your patience. While developing TFM has been incredibly rewarding, doing it mostly solo over the past two years has also been one of the most demanding challenges of my life. In a solo endeavor like this, even small shifts in life hit like earthquakes. But I'm glad to get this update into your hands just in time for the Steam Summer Sale - and I hope this summer brings you joy, adventures, and lots of memorable games! ːreexcitedː⚔️ The Great Class OverhaulThis update marks the first major step in redefining TFM’s combat classes. Over 30 brand-new class sets and 100+ new skills are now available, each offering deeper flexibility, identity, and party-building strategy. I’ve also reworked many traits and items, updated damage calculations, improved tutorials and tooltips, and introduced quality-of-life changes like hover-to-collect. Plus, some lingering bugs (including overpowered Invaders) have finally been squashed. ːFistpumpːRemoved all outdated skills and introduced 100+ new ones, covering a wide spectrum of combat roles, utility, crowd control, and support abilities, ensuring each class feels unique and purposefulComplete overhaul of all class-specific items and traits, now supporting the newly added classes with cohesive stat requirements and synergiesIntroduced full gear sets for 30 new classes, including: Berserker, Scout, Arbalist, Rogue, Brawler, Marksman, Brute, Duelist, Mage, Fighter, Juggler, Sentinel, Ranger, Druid, Guardian, Geomancer, Skirmisher, Sage, Warden, Hydromancer, Ravager, Evoker, Rampart, Pyromancer, Champion, Cleric, Paladin, Radiancer, Stalker, Witch, Shaman, and Shadowmancer. All item sets are now craftable via the Armswright, after gathering the required resources. These can be previewed using the Path Rewards panel under the Tips section.Cleaned up outdated Path Rewards, resolved issues with reward displays in Pat...

    Version 0.7.33 - Patch Update

Hey everyone! ːSmallRedHeartː While I'm still deep into overhauling and removing outdated content for the next big update, I wanted to release a small hotfix addressing the Orc Invader issue where their skills and traits were unintentionally creating a devastating combo. This was due to some new skills conflicting with outdated traits, leading to unbalanced characters. This update should fix the problem, and more issues will be resolved once the overhaul is complete with the new skills and traits. ːFistpumpː In the meantime, I've also introduced a new feature where hovering over items will now automatically collect them into your stockpile - no more manual clicks! I’d love to hear your feedback on how this feels during play. ːreexcitedː Changelog: ◆ Hovering over items now automatically collects them into your stockpile. Refactored item removal mechanics, fixing ghost items and reducing errors. ◆ Recharging Renewer now has a 30 moons cooldown. Thank you all for your patience and support! More exciting changes are coming soon! ːgearthumbsupː

    Version 0.7.32 - Patch Update

Offsprings of the first men, welcome! ːSmallRedHeartː We are here to bring you a small but important update, fixing issues caught by our amazing community from the last update. ːkrlvlupː A big thank you to everyone participating in Early Access and helping us find bugs to make the game much better! ːreexcitedː Changelog ◆ Reworked Damage Calculation. Block Chance now functions as Armor, decreasing damage by an amount. The calculation handles negative numbers by naturally increasing damage when armor is negative, using diminishing returns. As armor increases (positive or negative), its effect on damage reduces, preventing extreme outcomes and ensuring that damage dealt never falls below zero. Additionally, we've introduced randomness in the armor scaling factor by using a random value, adding variability to the damage output. ːkrheroesː ◆ Enhanced Gameplay Tips. Added more details and clarifications to the tips section, especially regarding level-up rewards, to help you navigate the game more effectively. ◆ Updated Building Descriptions. Building descriptions now clearly state their purpose, what resources their assigned characters will collect, and the benefits they receive upon leveling up. ◆ Population Objective Corrected. The objective requiring you to reach a certain population is now working correctly. ◆ Resolved Auto-Save Interval Issue. Fixed an issue where the auto-save feature was triggering every second. It now behaves correctly based on the set interval in the options menu. ◆ Complete Overhaul of the Cooking Activity. The Cook now crafts food passively while still collecting Seeds during their activity. Only Cooking Ingredients related directly to Cooking are used for passive generation. The Cook can still earn different types of food as level-up rewards. ːkrbananaː ◆ Fixed Loading Error. Resolved a crash that occurred when trying to recreate a skill that wasn't supposed to be present during loading. ◆ Old Cooking Activity Error Resolved. Fixed an issue w...

Version 0.7.31 - The Sacred Genesis

Offsprings of the first men, welcome back to another exciting update! ːthetreeoflifeː We are delighted to bring you a substantial update that introduces new depth, fresh challenges, and an entirely reimagined game flow, just as we mark two years in Early Access! ːreexcitedː 🌍 The Start of Something Sacred Previously, TFM featured something called "Maps," but during development, we drifted from the original concept of "The First Men" by incorporating too many fantasy elements, which caused confusion among some players. To realign with our initial vision, we have renamed them as Creation Stories, and you now begin your journey by choosing from stories inspired by real-world creation myths - from Shamanistic to Biblical, Nordic to Islamic, Greek to Chinese, and more! ːoneringː We plan to add more creation stories in upcoming updates, each offering unique narratives and objectives. Begin your journey with “Tutoria”, our first creation story that guides new players through the game’s fundamentals. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33034732/dc56659fe8d241381e48ff46a8fc5becb5b59ffc.jpg 🪓 Early Game Improvements After choosing a creation story, you begin all stories with the first man and the first woman alongside their Gathering Tree. We've made the Build menu easier to understand and more impactful based on your choices. Each building now serves a single purpose, such as resource collection, specific crafting, or combat training, and you can choose which ones to construct after gathering the necessary resources. Speaking of resources, the early game was previously very slow, so we've introduced Thorns that can be cleared in the starting region. Clearing these thorns not only opens up space for buildings but also provides basic resources until the settlers designated for resource collection come into existence. ːtemhugː You now gradually clear the thorns, collect resources, and build structures one by one. Breeding becomes necessary to assign new settlers to these empty buildings, which ...

Offsprings of the first men, once again, welcome back to another update! ːthetreeoflifeː We're excited to celebrate the Steam Summer Sale with a new update and a special 20% discount on Steam for newcomers to TFM’s Early Access journey. ːreexcitedː {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33034732/4b0cfff22033cb9c5bd89f166d5e57e96ff754d3.png As we press on with content enhancements for the upcoming major update, we invite you to preview the changes in progress. Please be aware that, due to the extensive overhaul still underway, some aspects of the game might seem outdated until the major update is complete. ːnewquestː Let’s continue with the changelog to see the detailed list of additions made until the last update.ːFistpumpː Changelog ◆ Complete overhaul of BASE buildings implemented, integrating Crafters and Combat Characters into the base section of the build panel, each building now linked to specific game mechanics. ◆ Streamlined Tinker’s activity list by removing all trees except those designated for future aura benefits. ◆ Overhauled Tinker’s rewards, removing outdated content and optimizing both wood collection and experience gain mechanisms. ◆ Introduced a new crafting activity for the Enchanter, utilizing Trees and Paper to create enchantments. ◆ Revised the Transmuter's role, now collecting Dust—previously known as Magic Dust—a Tier 0 and colorless resource. ◆ Renamed Hunter’s Tent to Hunter’s Hut and Fishing Hut to Fisher’s Hut, enhancing their functions and integrating them as Tier 0 colorless structures. Both Hunter’s Hut and Fisher’s Hut can be rewarded by Tinker and Cook, each costing 20 Wood and 20 Seeds. ◆ Executed a comprehensive overhaul of the Farmer, Cultivator, Orcharder, and Fermenter buildings, alongside a major revision of the harvesting activities and rewards for Wheat, Corn, Strawberry, Tomato, Eggplant, Potato, Sugarbeet, Cabba...
