About this game

HueTrix — Stack the Colors. Break the Board. Get Stronger.

HueTrix is a colorful block-stacking puzzle with a roguelike economy. Clear lines to earn cash, spend it in the shop on powerful mythic relics, and build a game-breaking run that grows stronger every round.

🎨 Seven Colors, Seven Effects

Every color carries its own effect. Group matching colors and clear them in chains to send your earnings soaring — the longer the combo, the bigger the payout.

💰 Earn, Shop, Strategize

Each round, clearing lines fills your wallet. Spend it in the shop to shape your strategy with mythic relics like Hephaestus's Hammer, the Rainbow Crown, and the Rainbow Covenant — game-changing artifacts that turn the board in your favor.

🔁 Endless Build Variety

Which colors do you invest in? Which relics do you combine? Every run plays out differently. Easy to pick up, deep to master.

🎮 Comfortable to Play

Full support for keyboard and Xbox / PlayStation controllers. Your progress syncs automatically through Steam Cloud, and Steam Achievements keep you chasing that next milestone.

Demo Update 1.0.5 — 15 New Items, Rebuilt Tutorial

15 New Items Fifteen items have been added to the shop. Same 12 rounds — far more combinations to build. Several of them change how you play rather than just how much you earn. Dark Matter Veil hides the next-block preview and multiplies all earnings by 4. Athena's Precision doubles your payout, but only if you clear exactly one row at a time. Tutorial and Hints, Rebuilt The tutorial now teaches combos after you buy your first item, so you watch the item bonus, the color effect, and the combo multiplier stack up on the same clear. Shop instructions are split into short steps instead of one wall of text. First-run guidance now covers color effects, controls, and the right-hand panel — so skipping the tutorial no longer means missing the rules. Game Over now tells you why the run ended. Translation Fixes Every language got corrections. Some screens were falling back to English where a translation was missing, and the right-hand panel could overflow in languages with longer color names. Control Fixes Keyboard and gamepad navigation no longer breaks after collapsing the shop. Hints no longer swallow your input — a key press closes the hint instead of dropping a block. The landing preview no longer lingers while effects are being tallied. Thanks for playing. Let us know what you think on the discussion boards.

Demo Update 1.0.2 — 12 Rounds, Better Tutorial & Help

More to play The demo now runs through Round 12 (previously Round 8). Easier to pick up A tutorial prompt now appears on first launch. You can skip it and start the tutorial any time from the title screen. New Help button in the top right shows controls, rules and color effects at any time. The game pauses while it is open. Short one-time tips appear the first time you meet each system — the shop, combos, items and so on. Controls Keyboard, mouse, gamepad and Steam Deck controls are now all documented in game. Quality of life Added an in-game quit menu. You can now close the game while in fullscreen. Added 3x speed (1x / 2x / 3x). Presentation Item chain sounds now rise in pitch as the chain continues. Bigger payouts now get bigger effects. The round summary screen was restyled to match the game. Bug fixes Fixed blocks cleared per color showing 0 for some colors in the round summary. Thanks for playing. Feedback is always welcome.
