About this game
XENOMIRE is a 2D top-down sci-fi horror extraction shooter set on Vespera, a lost colony planet consumed by alien contamination.
As a government operative, you descend from the safety of an orbital station into hostile zones such as abandoned facilities, alien ruins filled with mutated lifeforms. Complete contracts, recover valuable resources, upgrade your gear, and extract before sleeping horrors wake up.
Every expedition is a high-risk decision. The longer you stay, the more aggressive the alien presence becomes. What begins as a quiet mission through dark corridors can spiral into a desperate fight for survival against monster swarms, ruthless mercenaries, and unstoppable horrors.
DESCEND, LOOT, EXTRACT
Choose a contract, prepare your loadout, and land on Vespera. Search the zone for supplies, complete objectives, and decide when to leave. Death means losing valuable resources, so every item, weapon, and upgrade matters.
SURVIVE AN ALIEN ECOSYSTEM
Vespera reacts to your presence. Time spent on the planet increase alien aggression, making each mission more dangerous the longer it continues. Don't overstay your welcome.
BUILD YOUR OPERATIVE
Collect dozens of weapons, customize them with powerful modules, and combine different armor sets with their own upgrades to create a build that fits your playstyle. Become a fast scout, a heavily armed gunner, a resilient scavenger, an aggressive exterminator, or anyone you desire.
EXPLORE A DARK SCI-FI WORLD
Uncover what happened to the first colony, investigate alien ruins, and work with uneasy factions aboard the orbital station, each trying to exploit Vespera in their own way. Inspired by the oppressive tension of classic sci-fi horror, XENOMIRE blends extraction gameplay with atmosphere, mystery, and constant pressure.

Operatives Report: Demo Statistics
Operatives, it’s time to take a look at what’s been happening on Vespera.Since the launch of the Xenomire demo, thousands of expeditions have been started, hundreds of operatives have been lost, and a surprisingly large number of you decided that one more run was a perfectly reasonable idea. We’ve been collecting anonymous gameplay statistics throughout the demo to better understand how you play, which weapons you gravitate toward, what objectives you prefer, where expeditions usually go wrong, and which enemies are doing the most damage to the operative population. The data is already giving us a much clearer picture of how Xenomire plays outside of our own testing, and it will help us make better balancing and content decisions going forward. So, here’s what Vespera has seen so far:These statistics are more than just fun numbers to share. They give us a look at Xenomire that we simply can’t get while testing the game ourselves.Every expedition helps us understand what works, what needs more attention, which systems players engage with, and where we should take the game next.We still have a lot planned for Xenomire, and the demo is only a small part of what we want the full game to become.Thank you for playing, sending feedback, reporting bugs, sharing your builds, and repeatedly going back to Vespera despite everything waiting for you there.Keep the feedback coming — and keep sharing your best, worst, and most ridiculous expeditions.See you on Vespera.Read full article on Community Announcements (Veilworks Games)Patch NotesOfficial
Key Rebinding Update
Hello Operatives,This update brings more control customization to Xenomire. You can now rebind your controls, making it easier to set up the game the way you prefer. We’ve also added toggle options for crouching and sprinting, so you can choose between hold and toggle behavior for both actions. These changes were highly requested, and we hope they make expeditions more comfortable for everyone.Read full article on Community Announcements (Veilworks Games)Patch NotesOfficial
Patch Note - Fixes and improvements
Hello Operatives. Thanks to everyone who has been playing the Xenomire demo and sharing your feedback with us.Before we fully shift our focus toward our next major milestone — Steam Next Fest — we wanted to release another round of fixes, improvements, and balance changes based on what we’ve seen from your expeditions. We’re also preparing one more update before Next Fest, which will introduce key rebinding. And later this week, we’ll share some interesting stats from the demo — including how your expeditions have been going so far.Anyway, here’s what changed: Gameplay & BalanceItems now drop only on NavMesh.Bullets fired by all player weapons are now approximately 30% faster.Bullets fired from physical weapons are slightly faster. (on top of 30% buff)Infestation Nodes are now harder to destroy.Hunt miniboss Mutated Adept has been buffed to better reflect the task difficulty.Lootboxes that have been opened at least once are now always visible.Major Orders are temporarily disabled.Quests & ObjectivesTutorials can now be skipped if the player has completed them on at least one save.Fixed Transmission Points spawning more objectives than required: 3 → 2.Fixed the Special Delivery task leading players into high-danger zones.Infestation objectives now correctly require destroying 2 Infestation Nodes. More nodes may still spawn on the map, but destroying all of them is no longer required.Inactive extraction points now clearly display their status on the full map.Bug FixesFixed a bug in the hiring menu.Fixed the missing Assassin specialization icon.Fixed a duplication exploit involving modules dropped from the Equipment Details window.Fixed inventory corruption caused by certain resources, including microchips.Fixed Task and Order rewards sometimes causing normally non-stackable resources to become stackable.Fixed several interactable objects missing interaction notifications.UIPartially fixed UI issues on ultrawide resolutions.Read full article on Community Announcements (Veilworks Games)Patch NotesOfficial
