About this game
Every 8 is wild
Wild Crazy 8s is a roguelike deckbuilder built on Crazy Eights — the card game where eights go wild. An 8 plays on anything, at any time, and lets you call the next suit. It rescues dead hands, keeps a scoring chain alive, and steers the pile toward the cards you're still holding. When to play your eights is the choice every run hinges on.
Chain cards, bank combos
On your turn, play any card that matches the pile's suit or rank — or drop an 8 if you're feeling wild. Chain as many cards together as you can; each one scores (base chips + card value) × Boost, and your Combo climbs with every card and carries over between turns. Drawing resets the Combo but raises your base chips for the rest of the round. Beat the round's target before your turns run out.
Rig the game in the Gift Shop
Every round pays out, and the Gift Shop is where the run goes off the rails. House Rules are persistent scoring modifiers with powerful synergies — the right combination warps the math of every card you play. Card packs add enhanced cards that pay extra chips, Boost, or cash. Perks upgrade the whole run; Tricks & Boons are one-shots you save for the perfect moment. Nothing wins by itself: you win by building an engine where deck, rules, and perks all push the same plan.
Nine floors to the Penthouse
A run climbs nine floors of the casino, from the Lobby to the Penthouse. Every floor ends at a boss table with its own restriction on how you score, and every win unlocks the next difficulty.
150+ House Rules, from simple suit payouts to rules that read your whole build
36 bosses, each with a different scoring restriction
50 perks and 24 starting decks — several built around the 8s themselves
9 difficulty tiers and 48 trophies
After Hours, an endless mode where targets keep rising
Full controller support

You Asked, We Dealt: A Sharper Tutorial + an In-Game Rulebook
Early playtesters gave us a clear note: the practice table teaches the basics well, but some of you walked away with questions — how exactly the scoring works, what the rest of the action cards do, and where to look something up in the middle of a run. That's exactly the feedback we want. Here's what we did about it. A sharper tutorial The practice floor now spells out the scoring math at the moment your first big chain pays out: every card scores ( Chips × Boost ), and your combo grows the Boost with every link. A new beat covers the full action-card family — 2s, Queens, and Aces — so the tempo game is on the table from your very first hand. Clearing the practice floor now points you straight at the new Rulebook, so nothing you learned gets lost. The Rulebook A 10-page reference that's always one press away, in Settings and the pause menu: The full scoring formula, with a worked example you can follow digit by digit Drawing vs. combo — the round's core decision, explained straight The Gift Shop economy and what each shelf is really for Card enhancements with their exact odds — yes, including the one that shatters The tower: floors, boss tables, the difficulty ladder, and After Hours Every number in the Rulebook is pulled live from the game's own data, so it always matches how the game actually plays — patch after patch. The update is live now on the full game and the demo, in all 31 supported languages. Keep the feedback coming. We read everything — and as you can see, we act on it. — kfancy gamesRead full article on Community Announcements (therealkfancy)AnnouncementsOfficial

Every 8 is wild - Wild Crazy 8s launches November 11
Wild Crazy 8s is a roguelike deckbuilder built on Crazy Eights, the card game where eights go wild. An 8 plays on anything, calls the next suit, and keeps a scoring chain alive. The run: climb nine floors of a neon casino, beat the boss table at the top of each one, and spend your winnings in the Gift Shop on House Rules that warp the math of every card you play. I'm kfancy. I built this game solo, and it launches on Steam on November 11, 2026. A free demo is coming soon, and it won't be a slice: you get the full first climb, all nine floors. If that sounds like your kind of fun, wishlist the game and follow this page. Everything I post between now and launch lands here first.Read full article on Community Announcements (therealkfancy)
