About this game

Forge your deck. Carve your path.
Deck Forge is a single-player roguelike deckbuilder set in a hand-painted dark-fantasy world. Start with a humble starter deck, draft new cards after every fight, bolt on game-changing relics, and venture through a world that never plays out the same way twice. Lose, learn, and forge a sharper deck on the next run.
Four classes, four ways to kill
• Warrior — A scrappy fighter of might and steel. Strikes hard, blocks harder, and stacks Strength to land devastating blows.
• Plague Doctor — Patient and methodical. Stacks Poison that ticks at end of turn and bleeds straight through Block.
• Warlock — Binds a Succubus to his will, a demoness who strikes anew each turn. Empower her, feed on souls, and let her tear the enemy apart.
• Sorceress — Channels arcane Orbs — Storm, Frost, Shadow, and Aether — that surge each turn. Stack Focus to amplify them, then unleash.
Build something dangerous
• 500+ cards across the four classes — attacks, skills, powers, curses, and class-defining mechanics.
• Relics that rewrite the rules — passive engines, build enablers, and signature relics unique to each class.
• Potions for the moment that would otherwise end your run.
• Upgrade at rest sites, thin your deck at the shop, and gamble on mysterious events.
Brave the trail
Three distinct acts — the Black Forest, the Caves below, and the seething Beehive — each with its own enemies, hazards, and a rotating cast of bosses, so the gauntlet keeps surprising you. Branching maps mean every choice between fight, shop, rest, treasure, and the unknown is a gamble with the run on the line.
Ten levels deeper
Beaten the gauntlet? Ascension mode layers ten escalating modifiers — tougher elites, leaner gold, nastier bosses, and a starting curse — for players who want the journey to bite back.
Features
• Four fully distinct classes, each with its own cards, mechanics, and signature relic.
• Hundreds of cards, relics, and potions to discover and combine.
• Three themed acts with rotating bosses and dangerous elites.
• Ascension 1–10 for escalating challenge.
• Full controller support, built with Steam Deck in mind.
• An original dark-fantasy orchestral soundtrack.
A note on Early Access
Deck Forge is in Early Access. The full loop is here and playable end to end — four classes, three acts, hundreds of cards, ascension. Early Access is about tuning the journey with your feedback: balancing card and class power, sharpening encounters, and adding more content on top of a solid foundation.

The Free Demo Just Got Huge — More Biomes, More Classes, 10+ Hours

The demo just got big. Until today the free demo ended after the first biome. As of this update it goes much further: journey through the Black Forest, descend into the Caves, and fight deep into the Hive — all three biomes, every elite, every boss but one. 🗺 What's in the expanded demo All three acts — the full wilderness journey, with act transitions, the Ancient's boons, and deeper difficulty the further you forge. All five classes — the Warrior, the Plague Doctor, the Sorceress, the Warlock, and the Puppeteer are ALL playable in the demo now. Every kit, every playstyle. 10+ hours of gameplay — five classes to master, escalating acts, and a daily seeded ladder that resets every midnight. Reaching the end of the demo even once will test you. The final door — at the deepest point of the Hive waits the Russian Queen. The demo takes you to her door; the final battle belongs to the full game. You'll know exactly what you're buying. Forge deeper The demo is free and your save carries into the full game. If the journey hooks you, a wishlist genuinely helps a small forge get seen. See you at the anvil. 🔨 — Deck Forge

The Daily Forge is Lit — One Seed, One Class, One Ladder

The Daily Forge is lit. Every day at midnight UTC, the Forge deals the whole community one hand: the same seed, the same map, the same class. No lucky maps, no dodging elites your rival had to fight. Whoever forges the sharpest deck from identical parts tops the board. 🔥 How it works One seed for everyone — the daily run is identical for every player: same route options, same shops, same boss waiting at the end. Class of the day — the Forge picks your class. Today a plague doctor, tomorrow maybe a sorceress. Mastery means mastering them all. Two ladders — Today's Forge resets daily; the All-Time board remembers forever. Both live in-game under Leaderboards. Know where you stand — new this week: the board shows your rank out of everyone who's entered, whether you're #1 or grinding up from the middle. ⚔ Also in recent updates Live card numbers — your cards now show what they'll actually do, right on the card: Strength, Vulnerable, Weak and every other modifier updates the damage and Block numbers in real time, in green and red ink. Co-op polish — teammates and Constructs now stand visibly beside you on the battlefield, class select got portraits, and friends can join your Open Run straight from the Steam friends list. Sharper openings — the first fights of a run now have real teeth. Bring Block. Set a score today The demo has its own daily board — demo forgers compete with each other, and it's free. The board is small enough right now that a good run puts your name somewhere permanent. That won't last. 😉 If Deck Forge looks like your kind of journey, a wishlist genuinely helps a small forge get seen. See you at the anvil. 🔨 — Deck Forge

Deck Forge Now Has Online Co-op — And It's In The Free Demo

The forge runs co-op. The biggest update in Deck Forge's history is live — and every bit of it is in the free demo, right now. ⚔ Real online co-op, zero friction Quick Match — one click finds you a party. No friend codes, no Discord links, no lobbies to babysit. Runs launch the moment two forgers meet, and grow up to four. Drop-in, drop-out — join a run already in progress at the next map node. A quick six-pick draft forges your deck, and you're fighting within the minute. Play it your way — solo stays solo unless you open the door. Start alone with drop-ins enabled, matchmake with strangers, or keep the wilds to yourself. 🤖 Meet the Constructs Nobody around? The forge provides. Cog, Ember, Piston, and Slag are AI companions who fight beside you with their own decks, their own tempers, and their own opinions about your tactics. They're always clearly labeled — we don't dress bots up as humans — and when a real player drops in, your Construct politely yields the seat. They work fully offline, too. 🗺 One journey, your own legend Travel the Black Forest together and vote on every fork in the trail — but your deck, your relics, and your gold are yours alone. Every player drafts their own build from their own rewards. When a teammate falls, they're knocked out, not gone: win the fight and they're back on their feet. Also in this update The Viewer — a new mob has opened its eyes in the Black Forest. All of them. It's wearing pink spectacles and it has been studying you. Sharper early encounters, smarter map variety (no more fighting the same mob twice in a row), and bosses that fight back the way they always should have. Try it. Bring someone. The demo is free, the co-op is live, and the wilds are waiting. If Deck Forge looks like your kind of journey, a wishlist genuinely helps a small forge get seen. See you at the anvil. 🔨 — Deck Forge
