About this game

Iron Contract is a solo 2D management game where you run a fictional defense-industry company.

You start with limited cash, no advanced production capacity, a small local reputation and a fragile commercial structure. At the beginning, your company depends on external suppliers to buy products, manage stock and respond to local contracts. Every decision matters: buying too much can freeze your cash, buying too late can make you miss deadlines, and accepting the wrong contract can put your company under pressure.

Your objective is to grow from a small commercial operation into a stronger industrial company capable of managing larger contracts, improving its infrastructure and progressively developing its own production capabilities.

MANAGE CONTRACTS AND OFFERS

Analyze available opportunities, compare quantities, deadlines, expected margins and risks before making a decision. Some contracts require careful planning, while open offers reward speed and good stock management.

SUPPLIERS AND STOCK MANAGEMENT

At the start, your company cannot produce everything internally. You must rely on suppliers with different strengths and weaknesses: lower prices, better reliability, longer delivery times or higher quality. Choosing the right supplier at the right moment can make the difference between profit and failure.

BUILD YOUR COMPANY STEP BY STEP

Invest in buildings and internal capabilities to expand your business. Improve your storage capacity, commercial reach and future production potential. Progression is gradual: your company must earn its place before accessing better opportunities.

REPUTATION AND MARKET ACCESS

Your reputation affects the quality and scale of the opportunities available to you. Successful deliveries can help your company grow, while poor planning and missed deadlines can slow your progression.

FROM TRADING TO INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION

Iron Contract is built around the idea of starting small. First, you buy, store and resell through contracts. Later, you can move toward internal production to reduce supplier dependency, improve margins and gain more control over your operations.

A MANAGEMENT GAME WITH CONSEQUENCES

Cash flow, stock, contract timing and infrastructure choices are all connected. A profitable contract on paper can become a mistake if you do not have the right stock, the right supplier or enough time to deliver.

Iron Contract v0.1.4 — The Market Fights Back

THE MARKET FIGHTS BACK Until now, you optimised alone in your corner. That's over. Flesh-and-blood competitors take contracts out from under you — and your best employees with them. Everything that used to be imposed on you is now negotiable: the price of a tender, the terms of an order, a recruit's salary. And the State audits you once a year. This is the biggest update the game has had since release. It's also the first one you can play entirely in English. ──────────────────────────────── ⚡ AT A GLANCE The market ▸ anonymous tenders → named rivals who take your contracts and your staff Prices ▸ imposed on you → negotiated: tenders, orders, salaries Steering ▸ day by day → quarter by quarter, watched by a board The State ▸ absent → annual audit, graduated sanctions Language ▸ French → French AND English ──────────────────────────────── 🌍 IRON CONTRACT NOW SPEAKS ENGLISH - The whole game is translated — every screen, every menu, every message, down to job titles, client names and ammunition designations. - Switch language whenever you like — mid-run, from the System screen. - Your live contracts and your log re-translate with it — nothing stays frozen in the language you started in. - Language is an app preference, not save data: it follows you from one playthrough to the next. ──────────────────────────────── 🆕 COMPETITORS WITH A NAME - Named, persistent rivals — each has a profile, a temperament, a history with you. - You watch them live — they grow, specialise, decline. - They take your contracts — and you get to see exactly why you lost, in real euros. - They take your employees — keep yours, or outbid them for theirs. - They copy you — industrial espionage: a design that works too well ends up in a rival's catalogue. - They research too — the R&D race is real. Standing still means falling behind. - Buy them out — a weakened rival can be acquired. The market consolidates, and you can be the one consolidating it. - Your nemesis — the game names the rival hurting...

Iron Contract — v0.1.3: Onboarding & a World That Wears Down

Two things kept coming up: you didn't know where to start, and the world just sat still. This update fixes both. Iron Contract now guides you through every new screen, and your production line wears down if you ignore it. 🆕 NEW - Guided tour — the first time you open a menu, a summary card and tooltips explain what it's for. All 14 menus are covered. - Campaign objectives — your goals are now organized into 6 progressive chapters run in parallel, instead of one long flat list. - Main menu — the game finally opens on a proper main menu. - Relationship-based reputation — no more single number: your reputation builds up globally, by region, and client by client. A client you have history with treats you better, calls on you more often, and pays differently than a stranger. - Buildings that wear down — wear, declining output, and upkeep to pay. A neglected factory ends up costing more than it earns. - A living resale market — resale prices fluctuate and windows of opportunity open up. Selling at the right moment becomes a real decision. ⚖️ BALANCING - R&D now truly gates — unresearched components and settings are now genuinely rejected in the design screen. If it isn't unlocked, you can't use it. ✨ QUALITY OF LIFE & UI - Realistic employee portraits and a richer HR profile: your employees finally have a face. - UI overhaul (dashboard and top bar). - The Summary screen is gone — it duplicated the dashboard. 💾 SAVES Your saves are kept and migrated automatically. Thanks to everyone testing Iron Contract and sending feedback — it directly shapes development. Let us know what you think of this update. Not on your wishlist yet?
