  Major Update: Relaxed Mode, Continue & OpenXR Improvements

  A new way to experience Escape the Urban Underground This update significantly expands the experience without removing the original challenge. The classic 60-minute mode remains available for players who want to face the station as an intense, single-session escape room experience. You can now also choose the new Relaxed Mode, designed for players who want to investigate, solve puzzles and progress at their own pace. Key features of the update • New Relaxed Mode. • Automatic checkpoint saving. • New Continue option to resume your game later. • The original 60-minute challenge remains intact. • Improvements to the interactive hint system. • Improvements to progress and checkpoint restoration. • New languages: French, German and Simplified Chinese, with interface and subtitles. • Numerous stability improvements for OpenXR and SteamVR. • Improved headset recovery after suspension or temporary tracking loss. • Improvements to settings and audio persistence. • General fixes and stability improvements.We have focused especially on making the VR experience more reliable both when launching the game and during extended play sessions. Integrated subtitles Key dialogue is displayed with on-screen subtitles, helping you follow the investigation clearly throughout the experience.   Community Rebuild Update + Steam Launch

  ESCAPE THE URBAN UNDERGROUND IS NOW LIVE ON STEAM! A few months ago, I released the original Meta Quest version and asked VR players for honest, detailed feedback. Players told me which parts worked, which parts were frustrating, and what the experience needed next. I listened. This Steam launch brings the most complete version of Escape the Urban Underground so far: a major community-driven rebuild with improved visuals, more options, better performance, and new ways to adapt the challenge to each player. WHAT’S NEW • Completely refreshed visuals and presentation • Full settings menu with adjustable graphics • Multiple difficulty levels • Optional interactive hint system with voice and audio guidance • Improved performance, comfort, and sound • English and Spanish language support THE CHALLENGE Deep beneath the city lies an abandoned subway station where a murder has just taken place. Restore power, search the crime scene, manipulate physical clues, crack security panels, and cross decaying train cars while the clock keeps running. Each attempt gives you up to 60 minutes. There are no save points and no checkpoints. If time runs out, you will need to return with the knowledge gained from your previous attempt. LAUNCH DISCOUNT To celebrate the Steam launch, Escape the Urban Underground is 15% off until July 21.
