About this game
OMEGA: The Dead Planet
OMEGA: The Dead Planet is a third-person sci-fi survival horror game set on a hostile alien world - a dying planet where abandoned colonies, infected ruins, and unknown lifeforms hide the truth behind Jessica’s mutation.
After the events of the Project Werewulf / Inner Beast universe, Jessica is separated from the remaining survivors and stranded on a world that should have been dead. But the planet is not empty. Something ancient lives beneath its surface, and the same biological force that once changed her may be the key to survival - or the beginning of something far worse.
Explore a Dead Alien World
Travel through semi-open regions across a dangerous planet filled with abandoned facilities, mining sites, research labs, hostile wilderness, and infected zones. Each biome brings its own atmosphere, environmental hazards, enemies, resources, and secrets.
From burning deserts to dense alien jungles, frozen wastelands, and fully corrupted regions, every expedition forces you to prepare, adapt, and survive.
Build and Upgrade Your Base
An abandoned research base becomes your only safe place in a world that wants you dead.
Restore power, unlock new rooms, improve your equipment, expand research capabilities, store resources, and prepare for deeper expeditions. As you rescue survivors, the base slowly becomes more than a shelter - it becomes a home, a laboratory, and the last line of defense.
Survive the Infected and the Aberrants
The planet is inhabited by two major threats.
The Infected are former colonists, researchers, miners, and security personnel twisted by the same biological force that consumes the planet.
The Aberrants are something else entirely - alien predators shaped by the planet’s ecosystem, fast, brutal, adaptive, and terrifyingly intelligent.
Combat is designed to be intense and satisfying, but never careless. You are not fighting endless hordes. Every encounter matters. Ammo, positioning, melee combat, crafting, and tactical decisions can be the difference between survival and death.
Control the Mutation
Jessica is not only fighting the infection. She is part of it.
The mutation inside her can enhance her senses, improve her survival chances, and unlock terrifying power - but using it comes with consequences. Under extreme pressure, Jessica may unleash the beast within, transforming into a powerful Lycan form for short, violent bursts of combat.
This is not an ultimate ability to spam. It is rare, dangerous, and deeply tied to combat, stress, mutation, and control.
Prepare, Scavenge, Craft
OMEGA is not a survival sandbox. You will not spend hours chopping trees or building walls.
Instead, survival is focused on preparation and decision-making. Scavenge chemicals, medical supplies, weapon parts, alien biomass, and technological components. Craft ammunition, healing items, and equipment upgrades before heading into the unknown.
Every expedition begins with a question:
How far are you willing to go before returning to safety?
Outfits With Purpose
Expedition gear, tactical variants, and unlockable outfits allow players to balance function and personal style as they prepare for different regions and threats.
Rescue Survivors and Build Relationships
Not everyone on the planet is dead.
Rescue key survivors and bring them back to your base. Scientists, engineers, doctors, and soldiers can unlock new systems, research, upgrades, dialogue, and personal storylines.
Relationships are built through trust, choices, shared danger, and survival - not simple gift systems or dating-sim mechanics.
A Story-Driven Survival Horror Experience
OMEGA combines exploration, combat, resource management, base progression, mutation systems, and cinematic horror into a focused third-person experience.
This is not an open-world sandbox.
This is not a pure action game.
This is survival horror on a hostile alien planet - where the greatest question may not be whether Jessica can escape, but whether she should.
Early Access Vision
OMEGA: The Dead Planet is planned as a content-expansion Early Access project.
Our goal is to launch Early Access with the core systems fully functional - combat, saving, inventory, crafting, base progression, enemy AI, mutation, and exploration - while expanding the game over time with new regions, enemies, NPCs, story content, and survival challenges.
The Early Access version is intended to represent the foundation of the full game, not a prototype. More biomes, dungeons, characters, threats, and story chapters will be added as development continues.

OMEGA: The Dead Planet | Devlog: Weapons & Combat | Video
Ladies and Gentlemen,This week I wanted to show a bit more of OMEGA’s combat and the weapons that will be available when Early Access launches.Combat is an important part of the game, but OMEGA is still a survival horror first. I don’t want every encounter to turn into mindless shooting. Different weapons are meant to feel different, and choosing what to use in a given situation should matter.WeaponsAt Early Access launch, the following firearms are planned:Semi-Automatic Handgun Revolver Automatic SMG Automatic Rifle Semi-Automatic Shotgun Pump-Action Shotgun Sniper Rifle Each weapon has its own damage and rate of fire.To keep ammunition management simple and readable, the weapons will use three ammo types:Light, Medium, and Heavy.Weapons can also be upgraded with attachments. These upgrades will improve things like damage and rate of fire, so you’ll be able to strengthen the weapons you prefer using as you progress.Short Gameplay PreviewI also put together a short gameplay video showing some of the weapons in action.MeleeRunning out of ammunition won’t leave Jessica completely helpless. You’ll be able to kick enemies and strike them with your equipped weapon to create some distance when they get too close. There will also be a knife for close-range combat, especially when ammunition is running low.GrenadesAnd yes, grenades will be available too. They’re there for the moments when one enemy suddenly becomes several enemies and the situation needs to be solved quickly.Thank you as always for following the development of OMEGA: The Dead Planet and for all the feedback and support.More soon.KerangorFTR Game StudioRead full article on Community Announcements (Kerangor)AnnouncementsOfficial
OMEGA Interior Showcase
Over the past week, I’ve been working quietly on one of OMEGA’s interior environments and, more importantly, on the lighting and rendering pipeline behind it. There are some proven lighting and environment techniques that you mostly see in larger productions. They are harder and more time-consuming to work with, and modern Unreal Engine workflows increasingly push developers toward newer, more demanding rendering solutions instead. For OMEGA, I wanted more control. So I made some significant core-level engine changes and rebuilt parts of the lighting workflow around the needs of the game. The result is what you can see in the new video. The goal is to deliver a genuinely high-end visual presentation while still keeping performance within sensible hardware requirements. The interior shown here is still being refined, but the visual direction is now very close to what I want for OMEGA.The footage was captured in real time at 4K with Epic settings. Thank you for following the development!More soon. Kerangor FTR TeamRead full article on Community Announcements (Kerangor)AnnouncementsOfficial
OMEGA: The Dead Planet - Devlog and video: The Warrior Within
The Warrior WithinJessica survived the infection. That doesn’t mean it left her. This week’s video shows a few different sides of OMEGA: The Dead Planet: close-range combat, exploration with the hover bike, and what happens when Jessica’s condition becomes something much more useful than an illness.CombatCombat in OMEGA is built around deliberate encounters rather than endless waves of enemies.Positioning matters. Ammunition matters. Knowing when to fight, when to move, and when something is getting too close matters.Enemies are designed to put pressure on the player in different ways, especially inside tighter locations where simply creating distance may not always be an option. The InfectionJessica may have survived the events of the previous games, but the infection is still part of her.She is the only remaining lycan in OMEGA, and her transformation isn’t meant to feel like a regular ability or a simple power-up. It is part of Jessica herself, and something that will appear at specific moments throughout the game. When it does, the balance changes considerably.Sometimes the best weapon available is Jessica. Hover BikeThe Arctic is large enough that traversal needed to be more than simply running from one objective to another. The hover bike gives the player a fast way to explore the open areas, move between points of interest, and return to previously visited locations. It also turns out that infected colonists and several hundred kilograms of rapidly moving machinery are not an ideal combination.Who knew? New VideoCheck out the new gameplay video below.Combat, Jessica’s infection, and a little hover bike chaos. OMEGA: The Dead Planet – Arctic Weather, Survival and Exploration
OMEGA: The Dead Planet – Arctic Weather, Survival and ExplorationThe Arctic is designed to feel like a living environment rather than a static level.Weather conditions and times of day are dynamic. After certain periods of time, the weather can change naturally, while lighting and environmental conditions gradually transition into another curated time of day. This is not a fully simulated day/night cycle. Instead, the system allows the world to change while still preserving the carefully designed lighting and atmosphere of each time period. You may leave the HUB under a clear daytime sky and later find yourself riding through snowfall as the light begins to fade. Temperature and ClothingTemperature has a small gameplay effect, but OMEGA is not intended to be a hardcore survival game. The goal is not to constantly punish the player for choosing the “wrong” outfit. If Jessica is underdressed in cold conditions, she may occasionally shiver, react to the temperature and complain about it. Extreme exposure also causes a small stamina regeneration debuff. The same logic will work in the opposite direction in warmer biomes. If Jessica is wearing too much clothing in hot conditions, she may react to the heat, complain about being overdressed and suffer a similarly small stamina regeneration penalty. So clothing has a practical purpose in addition to appearance, while still leaving the player plenty of freedom over what Jessica wears. The philosophy behind the system is simple:the environment should matter, but it should not become annoying. Jessica will let you know when your clothing choices make absolutely no sense.Loot and ExplorationThe Arctic open area contains resources scattered across abandoned facilities, outposts, wreckage and other points of interest.Current loot includes:ammunitiongrenadeshealing suppliesfabricchemicalstools and scrapclothing blueprintsweapon attachmentsLoot in open areas is partially randomized, so revisiting the same location will not always mean f...Read full article on Community Announcements (Kerangor)
